A ´Brief´ Reminder
Your strong connection to home´ led you to ask us to create a ´refuge´ and ´not a showroom´
in your new appartment in Teddington Wharf. You wanted it to be a warm and welcoming whilst
maximising on the river views and retaining a sensation of space. You would like the overall
atmosphere to be laid back, relaxed and convivial in feel but most importantly, it should be
representative and reflective of you both. For example, you love the sensation of being
´surrounded by books´, quality craftsmanship and functional a design. However Tim prefers minimalism
whilst Louise favours ´cosiness´ and warmth. With this design, I hope you will feel that it has
successfully set about to aesthetically marry the two whilst taking in to account your practical daily
living requirements for storage, ventilation, room allocation and space. In light of recent events, I also
felt it was important to be forward thinking and even though your original brief focused on Tim´s travelling
and minimal amount of time working from home, I have allocated more room to his working space as I feel
this may be of increasing value to him and would be expensive and inconvenient to you both to have to
address this retrospectively.
