A sarcoma is a form of cancer that can affect any part of
the body. Sarcoma is a generic word for a variety of
malignancies that start in the bones and soft (also known
as connective) tissues (soft tissue sarcoma).
Sarcomas can occur everywhere in the body. Sarcoma
treatment varies depending on the type of sarcoma, the
location of the tumor, and other circumstances.
