I'm Mohamad Zino
24 years old Master student at Wrsaw University of Technology -
Architecture for Society of Knowledge .
Being Syrian Architect that lives in Dubai gives me the motivation
to have a dream of using my architecture knowledge to revival
of Syria.
I graduated from Ajman University - United Arab Emirates, where
I discovered my passion for Architecture and Design.
Discovering a new method to blend architecture with animation
was one of my main goals to achieve.
Knowledge and Discovery don't stop, I will keep searching for
new ways of ARCHITECTURE.

Digital Fabrication - Cloud Gate

The task for the class was to prepare
four versions of the construction of
the Cloud Gate – structure located
in Chicago, Illinois. Each type should
present a different kind of fabrication.
The four types are 2D, 2D+, 3D, and
3D+.
In each of the structures, we are
treating the Cloud Gate as the Globe.
We are dividing it into sections in a
way like the parallels and meridians
are made. We noticed that with this
division, we could connect four
structures into two. While working
with the 3D+, we want to make curved
panels.
But we need to prepare a construction
for them. That is where we may use
the 2D beams, which will be flat cutouts
but will connect nicely with the
curved panels.

The whole purpose is to counterpoint the classic virtual reconstruction
- which depicts pictorially one of the possible versions, but without
making it clear in the image itself that it is a hypothesis with a simulation,
which by its very nature is hypothetical.
Group Task:
Proposed method of knowledge visualization should clearly show the
hypothetical nature of the reconstruction and its parametric character.
Minimum range: the possibility of random generation of versions and
displaying them to the user (effect like an animated gif), optimum
range: the possibility of user's interference in some parameters of
the reconstruction in a reasonably limited range of values resulting
from research premises and creation of own, probable versions of the
building, maximum version: interactivity of the model understood both
classically
(possibility of walking around the model) and simulation (possibility of
changing the values of parameters).
