AmbrosiniBARRE – Angelo LincolnAmbrosini, 96, of WhiteStreet passed away on Wednesday, August4, 2021, at the Central VermontMedical Center.Born on June 14, 1925 in Barre, he wasthe son of Angelo P. and Maria (Gargantini)Ambrosini. Angelo attended localelementary schools and graduated fromSpaulding High School in 1943. He was assigned to the Naval AirStation in Yonabaru, Okinawa for one year. He was releasedfrom active duty on December 31, 1947. After knee surgeryin Hawaii, he returned to Barre.Upon his return to Barre, Angelo attended the Barre Schoolof Memorial Art for one year and then began employmentin the granite industry in 1949. He worked for Comolli andCompany, Houle-Giudici Company, and Celestial MemorialCompany as a granite carver until his retirement in 1990. Afterretirement, Angelo was the caretaker of the Politi Propertiesin Roxbury from 1998 to 2003.n pril , , he married Marie leander. ogetherhe and Marie had four daughters, Cynthia, Lorraine, Louise,and Mary. Mario’s discriminating palate,his business acumen, and friendly disposition helped to ensurethe success of the Country House.Mario loved life. He had an infectious smile and enjoyedsharing jokes with his many friends and family. He was anavid card player and looked forward to hosting weekly pokergames at the Howard Building with an ever-evolving group offriends. August 6th was a sad day for the Red Sox and NewEngland Patriots as they have lost one of their most ardentsupporters. He was a great cook and shared many lively mealswith family and friends. Reading three newspapers daily fromcover to cover he was a wealth of information and an experton the news of the day and world events.
