Design, we invite you to participate in a unique
workshop to experience and learn everything
about planning and implementing your own
vertical garden project at home using unique
vertical wall system and implementation.
Learn all about the health benefits of plants
and how to use them at home.

INTRODUCTION.
Eti Buys, Kimko Garden Design
My name is Eti and i am the Founder and Owner
of Kimko Garden Design, which specialises in garden
design and sustainable landscaping.
Over the last few years, I have been focused on updating
my environmental skills and my passion to help and
educate people, which has grown in the past year as a
result of our life-changing experiences during the covid
pandemic lockdown.
I am very much looking forward to the future and all the
opportunities that are laid for us to live sustainably and
sufficiently.

ABOUT.
Phakalane Retreat
Phakalane Retreat is a holistic treatment and education centre
based in Hout Bay, Capetown.
The Center was founded by Claudia Rauber to celebrate the ritual
of Life, African Culture and their healing traditions. Claudia passed
away after falling ill of cancer which left Phakalane silent for some
years to honor and digest her transition.
In 2020 Nikolas Cramer Klett took on the legacy of Claudia"s work.
Together with his business partner Anton Neethling and their team
they are about to launch the new Phakalane experience.
In the heart of the Phakalane Gardens a holistic treatment center is
about to open its doors to the public with a variety of interlinked
treatments which are designed to restore and recalibrate biological
health.
Phakalane is a place of calmness and abundance and the
environment serves as a platform to conscious activation, healing
and skill transfer. Our Temple in the main house is the symbolic
centre of Phakalane to celebrate the ritual of life. It is a place for
prayer, meditation, music, celebration and silence.

THE WORKSHOP.
What to expect
• Learning how to install indoor green wall, using green
wall system manufactured by Versi wall, 100% recycled
materials.
• Learn about indoor plants and which plants are best
for indoor vertical walls. Plants selection and care.
• Learn how to prepare soil mix and important
information about drainage and water.
• Explore all other green wall options-talking about all
different vertical walls designs and opportunities to
create natural plant feel at our homes

DAY ONE
10am - 4pm
10.00AM - 11.00AM: Welcome introduction by Eti Buys, coffee
and tea served on arrival.
11.00AM - 12.00PM: Planning for the workshop - Setting intentions
for the day and workshop preperation.
12.00PM - 13.00PM: Lunch break - Plant based lunch with
a delicious Spice Juice.
13.00PM - 14.00PM: Green Wall introduction - Benefits of indoor
green walls and introduction to the green wall systems.
14.00PM - 15.00PM: Plant selection - All about indoor plants and
how to select green wall plants. Soil preperation specifications
and layering for container planting.
15.00PM - 16.00PM: Q&A

DAY TWO
10am - 4pm
10.00AM - 10.30AM: Welcome and Agenda for the day, coffee
and tea served on arrival.
10.30AM - 12.00PM: Putting all information learned from Day
One into practice.
12.00PM - 13.00PM: Lunch break - Plant based lunch with
a delicious Spice Juice.
13.00PM - 15.00PM: Green Wall Installation.
15.00PM - 16.00PM: FINAL PRESENTATION.
