For over 100 years the Kitchener Panthers of the Inter-County Baseball
League have provided local baseball entertainment.
With cooperation, hard work and tremendous support from local fans and
businesses, the Panthers have played on and on, even through depression
and a world war.
The Panthers have represented the very soul of the IBL as one of the five
founding members.
The Senior Panthers are the pinnacle of local baseball as players from age 8
and up are wearing the Panthers brand. Over the years, hundreds of local
players from throughout the Waterloo Region (Waterloo County) have come
up through the minor system to play senior ball with the Panthers.
Through the decades off and on, we’ve had many names, including McBrine’s,
Bluetops, Legionnaires, Wolves and Dutchmen; but the Panthers has been the
most enduring name, first used in 1921.
