The Civic Center is a municipally run complexthat supports year round events, bringing thousands of peopleinto the City each month. The complex is broken down intothree buildings, the Auditorium, B.O.R. and Alumni Hall. It is equipped with a full gymnasium with a regulationsize basketball court and locker rooms, an 18’w X 54’l stage, acommercial kitchen, and ample space for vendors and displays.It serves as a multi-purpose facility for events such as state highschool basketball championships, concerts, trade shows, farmshows, craft fairs, bingo games, racing shows, auctions, annualmeetings, town fairs, flu clinics, company parties, graduationsand more. The Auditorium is accessible with an elevator thatallows access to the ground floor, main level and the balcony.B.O.R.The B.O.R. serves as an excellent site for shows from mid Aprilto early October and as an ice arena from mid-October to earlyMarch. A 15 foot overhead door in the front of the building allowsfor easy exhibit set-ups and tear downs.The arena has 21,500 square feet of open space all on onelevel. Approximately eight hundred people can view any eventfrom the heated bleacher seating.This complex has supported farm shows, home shows,automobile shows, flea markets, company trade shows, circus,clothing drop and swaps, granite exhibits, tool shows, sportsmanshows and more.Alumni HallOur Alumni Hall is connected to the Auditorium Complex.Designed to maximize meeting space, this building complimentsany trade show looking for breakout rooms or space for smallerlectures, or day seminars.The Vermont Granite Museum, a familyfriendly destination, is on the property ofJones Brothers Company, which mademonuments and architectural elementsfor nearly a century. The museum offersan indoor climbing wall, interactiveexhibits, activities, outdoor games,¾-mile trail, and peddle cars for allages.
