AS A COGNITIVE ABILITY—A TRAIT TO IMAGINE FUTURE SCENARIOS OR
SOLVE PROBLEMS BASED ON PAST EXPERIENCES. EMPATHY MAKES AN
INDIVIDUAL CAPABLE OF CREATING A PSYCHIC AND EMOTIONAL
CONNECTION WITH ANOTHER PERSON. IT ENABLES A PERSON TO ENTER
INTO ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL’S MINDSCAPE. IF A PERSON FEELS
CONNECTED TO ANOTHER PERSON’S MINDSET, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO
MISTREAT THEM, EXCEPT UNINTENTIONALLY. A PERSON GETS TO RECOIL
FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE OF SUFFERING IN THE SAME WAY OF
RECOILING FOR THEIR INDIVIDUAL SUFFERING. IT BRINGS A SENSE OF
DESIRE TO AID THE PERSON SUFFERING.

PERCEIVES ANOTHER PERSON CAN INFLUENCE EMPATHY TO A GREAT
EXTENT. BEING EMPATHETIC TOWARDS OTHERS WILL HELP TO
UNDERSTAND OTHER’S SUFFERING AND CREATE HARMONY IN THE
WORLD.
EMPATHY MANIFESTS IN EDUCATION AS WELL IN BETWEEN TEACHERS
AND STUDENTS. EMPATHY BECOMES DIFFICULT WHEN THERE ARE
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PEOPLE REGARDING CULTURE, LANGUAGE, SKIN
COLOUR, GENDER AND AGE. EMPATHY IS CONSIDERED AS A MOTIVATING
FACTOR FOR UNSELFISH BEHAVIOUR. LACK OF EMPATHY IS SIMILAR TO
ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR. EMPATHY DEVELOPS DEEP ROOTS IN OUR
BRAINS, AS OUR EVOLUTIONARY HISTORY. HAVING EMPATHY DOES NOT
MEAN THAT A PERSON IS WILLING TO HELP SOMEONE. IT IS AN ESSENTIAL
STEP TOWARD COMPASSIONATE ACTION.

movie. There were many comments where they said that this fight
was to increase the rating of the film. When the film came out and
the media noticed the great lack of the rock, they immediately

What do you think about robots replacing us? Robots are the largest
growing technological device in the world. They perform many
functions ranging from space exploration to entertainment. Robotics
technology is increasing at a fast rate, providing us with new technology
that can assist with home chores, automobile assembly and many other
tasks.
Robotic technology has changed the world around us and is continuing
to impact the way we do things. Robotic technology transformation from
the past to present surrounds almost everyone in today’s society and it
affects both our work and leisure activities. Besides, scientists are
teaching computers how to learn on their own. At some point in the
near future, their intelligence may take off and develop at an everincreasing
speed. Human beings evolve biologically very slowly and we
would be quickly superseded. In the short term, there is the danger that
robots will take over millions of human jobs, creating a large
underclass of unemployed people. Personally, I think it’s fascinating to
consider how we’ll speed up our evolution as a species by augmenting
our bodies. Imagine if you could implant a computer inside our brain!
Soon we’ll be able to do just that and enhance our mathematical ability,
audiovisual
perception and our memory, and this idea is only going to become more
and more commonplace.

life like a savage, we notice how far we
have come. Similarly, the evolution of
mankind is truly commendable. One of
the major driving forces behind this is
science. It makes you think about the
wonder of science and how it has
proven to be such a boon in our lives.
Most importantly, science has helped
develop a great civilization. All the
advancements that man has been able
to make are with the help of science
only. However, it won’t be wrong to say
that science is a two-edged sword. It
comes with its own set of advantages
and disadvantages.
Advantages of Science, to say that
science has a lot of benefits would be
an understatement. The benefits of
science do not just limit to one sphere,
but it has proven useful in various
spheres of the world. When we talk
about innovations in science and
engineering, electricity is the first thing
that comes to mind. It has helped
power the world through its
development.
That is to say, all the credit goes to
science, as it weren’t for science, life in
the 21st century would be impossible.
After all, it is quite hard to imagine a
world without computers, medicines,
televisions, AC’s, automobiles and
more. In addition, science has
contributed largely to the medical field
as well.
Disadvantages of Science, we must always remember
that anything in excess is poison, and science is no
different. If it falls into evil hands, it can cause
destruction on a massive level. For instance, science is
used to create nuclear weapons. These are deadly
enough to cause war and wipe out full-fledged
countries. Another drawback is the pollution caused by
it. As the world became more industrialized because of
science, pollution levels increased. All the high-scale
industries are now polluting natural resources like
water, air, wood, and more.
Subsequently, this industrial growth has increased
rates of unemployment as machines are replacing
human labor. So, we see how it also has a considerable
amount of drawbacks as well.
Therefore, it must be properly used for the greater
benefit of mankind. We must ensure the wise use of
these scientific inventions in order to save the world
from the evil side of science. As Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
once stated that science is a beautiful gift to humanity,
we must not distort it, likewise, we must live by this
quote and monitor the utilization.

Amazon rainforest deforestation directly
contributes to worsening droughts in the

Causes of deforestation could be farming, grazing of

rest. In Malaysia and Indonesia, forests are cut down to
make way for producing palm oil, which can be found in
everything from shampoo to saltines. In the Amazon,
cattle ranching and farms—particularly soy plantations—
are key culprits.
Why it matters and what can be done. Deforestation
affects the people and animals where trees are cut, as
well as the wider world. Some 250 million people living in
forest and savannah areas depend on them for
subsistence and income—many of them among the
world’s rural poor. Eighty percent of Earth’s land animals
and plants live in forests, and deforestation threatens
species including the orangutan, Sumatran tiger, and
many species of birds. Removing trees deprives the
forest of portions of its canopy, which blocks the sun’s
rays during the day and retains heat at night. That
disruption leads to more extreme temperature swings
that can be harmful to plants and animals.
