It all started with a simple idea<br />
It All Began<br />
<strong>Twelve</strong> <strong>Days</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Christmas</strong>, <strong>Inc</strong>. began in 1999 when the organization’s<br />
Where<br />
founders, Gayla Gardner and her daughter Donya Gardner, decided to<br />
bring in the millennium by sharing their blessings with others. Rather<br />
than give gifts to their own family, they decided to give to others<br />
instead. The founders invited their friends to host a series <strong>of</strong> <strong>Christmas</strong><br />
parties, held over the span <strong>of</strong> twelve consecutive days, and asked<br />
guests to bring donations that would be distributed to less fortunate<br />
families in the Houston area. The spirit <strong>of</strong> our founding chapter has also<br />
spread nationally, leading to local chapters in New York City,<br />
Washington D.C., Oakland, <strong>Atlanta</strong>, Detroit and Philadelphia.<br />
The <strong>Twelve</strong> <strong>Days</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Christmas</strong>, <strong>Inc</strong>.- <strong>Atlanta</strong> <strong>Chapter</strong> is comprised <strong>of</strong> a passionate group <strong>of</strong><br />
business pr<strong>of</strong>essionals and community leaders. You can find our team members in the<br />
field <strong>of</strong> service, whether serving on boards or actively volunteering for other charitable<br />
organizations such as: The Junior League <strong>of</strong> <strong>Atlanta</strong>, National Council <strong>of</strong> Negro Women,<br />
Scottdale Early Learning, Girl Scouts <strong>of</strong> Greater <strong>Atlanta</strong> and CASA <strong>of</strong> Dekalb and Fulton<br />
Counties.
