and we’re focused on helping local students create their pathway to

a prosperous future. If you thought that a four-year university wasn’t

the right choice for you, think again. UNT Dallas is one of the most

diverse campuses in the metroplex. Our students are 85% minority and

95% first-generation college students, many juggling work and family

responsibilities while earning their degree.

You’ll succeed here. We offer our Trailblazing students the most

affordable tuition in the Dallas region, small class sizes and a variety of

support systems including tutoring, technology assistance, counseling

and wellness services and programs for first-generation students.

Whether you’re a freshman or transfer student, just completed high

school or continuing your education after a break, we have the resources

to help you succeed.

Our welcoming environment is accompanied by innovative, highquality

academic programs that challenge our students and provide

opportunities for rich experiential learning. Our faculty members take

a hands-on approach with curriculum designed to prepare students for

graduate school or for the robust Dallas-Fort Worth job market. Take the

first step toward transforming your life. Visit untdallas.edu to get started.

means — and we deliver.

STATE & FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID

Your first step toward paying for college is completing the Free Application

for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online (fafsa.gov) or the Texas Application

for State Financial Aid (TASFA). The FAFSA/TAFSA can be completed starting

October 1. The sooner you complete it the better UNT Dallas can meet your

financial need. Learn more about the scholarships, grants, loans and Federal

Work Study options available at finaid.untdallas.edu/scholarships.

UNT Dallas offers a wide array of federal, state and institutional financial aid

programs to help students at all economic levels pay for their education. On

average, a student can cover the cost of tuition without loans.

SEARCH FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Use our scholarship page to identify additional

opportunities UNT Dallas offers that fit your personal

criteria at finaid.untdallas.edu/scholarships. Most

new student scholarships are merit based and do not

require a separate scholarship application. If you meet

the scholarship criteria when you are admitted to the

university, you will be automatically considered.

Note: December 1st is the UNT Dallas date to be admitted and

qualify for priority merit scholarships. UNT Dallas will continue

to award scholarships after the priority date; however, this

automatic process does not guarantee that you will receive a

scholarship, as funding is limited.

DALLAS COUNTY PROMISE AND

TARRANT TO AND THROUGH

UNT Dallas is proud to make a bachelor’s degree

attainable as partners with Dallas County Promise

and Tarrant To and Through (T3). Both innovative

programs offer last-dollar scholarship funding that

aims to send graduating seniors in Dallas and Tarrant

Counties to college for free.

THEDREAM.US SCHOLARSHIP

TheDream.US is the nation’s largest college access

and success program for DREAMers. As the only

university in north Texas that is a Partner College,

UNT Dallas is committed to serve and graduate

DREAMers. A designated Scholar Advisor provides

ongoing support and assistance to address all of the

emotional, lifestyle and financial challenges that may

prevent our Scholars from completing college.
