As an architect, designing future societies is my main interest; merging design,
technology and sociology to create what we think is inexistent, and to discover along
the way what the upcoming decades will be like. My interest in the design field goes
from macro scales and urban planning to single forms of architecture. My superiors
were always very satisfied with my performance and versatility and trusted me with
different complicated tasks, which made me operate in different sectors of the field,
from architectural design, to sales and client management, design team management
and technical detail inspection. I perform better in teamwork and can easily
communicate with members of the project in English French Arabic and basic German.

Final year project (FYP)
In a world where climate change
prevails, Beirut; a middle eastern
city is being affected by numerous
aspects that are degrading
its environmental and social
status. More than 2 million inhabitants
live in less than 200 km, the
2 main agricultural valleys in the
country do not produce enough
vegetation to feed the country
for numerous reasons:
Fact #1: CLIMATE CHANGE:
Farmers cannot control their
growing products, therefor less
and less is being produced.
CONSTRUCTION vs CULTIVABLE
LAND: During the civil war, construction
laws were neglected,
and buildings replaced cultivable
land leaving smaller plots for
agricultural cultures.
VEGETABLE CONSUMPTION
PER CAPITA: According to local
studies, the Lebanese people
consume more and more fruits
and vegetables on daily basis
IMPORTS vs EXPORTS: Due to
high demand, imports are much
higher than exports this shows
that local production is insufficient
to local demand.
Fact #2: Side to these problems
and many other showing that the
country has a lack in agricultural
products, another problems
exists, it’s the result of the 1975-
1990 civil war, many towers in
the city are abandoned, buildings
that deserve a second chance
to prove their role in their urban
context.
Fusion: combining both facts, an
architectural solution exists for
this environmental/social crisis,
using stacked floors for agricultural
purposes will generate an
urban farm to solve the upcoming
evolving crisis. Terrarium.

Located in the lebanese mountains
near the capital Beirut, Beit
mery is situated on sunny front
directly hit by the western winds
from the mediterranean sea.
A cluster of retail and restaurants
form the project, distributed on
the plot marrying the topography,
continuously forming the
mountain extension.
The front row serves as a shield
blocking the wind from penetrating
the central plaza, while
having a low height keeping the
sun from piercing through the
trees creating a protective shade.
While the back of project is a
higher structure that connects
the main road to Beit Mery village

The existing lebanese house situated
in Faqra, a historical site on
more than 2000m of altitude. The
objective is to create 2 etensions
of the present structure forming
to family houses on a 2553sqm
plot.
The stone structure where the
reception areas take place is modernized
by modifying openings’
proportions while maintaining the
traditional architectural elements.
The black box made sits on top of
the existing structure has a different
architectural signature, with
it’s gun powder zinc cladding, it
contains the private section of the
house
As for the second house, it’s obvious
for us to make it completly

The competition consisted of
creating a new image and facelift
for the IBL Bank headquarters in
Beirut.
Due to the excess of sunlight
hitting the main facade, bank
personnel are finding it difficult to
have a decent work enviroment.
Controlling sunlight was our main
target, creating perforated metallic
pannels, cut in triangular shape,
that move mechanically based on
sun and cloud locations detected
via sensors connected to Arduino
boards, located on every group of
panels.
The panels move in harmony,
creating almost unique scenarios
during different times of the day
and seasons of the year.

THE WOODEN ELEMENT WORKS AS THE CENTRAL STATEMENT OF THE PROJECT, ASSURING EASY CIRCULATION ALL AROUND IT, IT’S CURVED EDGES FACILITATES WHEELCHAIR CIRCULA-

REQUIRES HIGH FOCUS.
