Kindergarten Pre-Registration Opens September 27th By Rob Spicker<br />
The School District of <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />
opened pre-registration today for students<br />
who will start kindergarten in August<br />
2022. Pre-registration is available<br />
until November 30th. Signing up early<br />
allows parents to avoid the lengthy wait<br />
times often experienced during the traditional<br />
student enrollment period.<br />
“Last year we had 2,500 new kindergarten<br />
students who could have secured<br />
a seat in the same K-5 elementary school<br />
as their older siblings by registering<br />
early, and only 500 did so,” says Soretta<br />
Ralph, Executive Director of Student<br />

open enrollment or later to register. Every<br />
family can avoid that happening to<br />
them by taking advantage of pre-registration<br />
and enrolling their incoming kindergartner<br />
now.”<br />
Students entering kindergarten in August<br />
2022 must be five years old on or<br />
before September 1, 2022.<br />
The documents required to pre-register<br />
include:<br />
• Physical exam (dated within the last<br />
year)<br />
• Florida Certificate of Immunization<br />
• Proof of address<br />
• Original birth certificate<br />
• Social Security Card (if available)<br />
• Custody documents (if applicable)<br />
• Parent Photo ID<br />
• Registration form (available here)<br />
Parents may pre-register their children<br />
online by providing all documents<br />
to studentenrollment@leeschools.net<br />
. Parents may also mail the documents,<br />
submit by fax to 239-335-1417, or place<br />
in the secure drop box outside The Student<br />
Enrollment Office entrance.<br />
Mark Your Calendar For The Crafty Ladies Fall Craft Fair<br />
The Crafty Ladies came together 12<br />
years ago. The group has grown to<br />
nearly 40 talented and dedicated women.<br />
All proceeds go directly back into<br />
the community. Just a few causes we<br />
donate to are:<br />
• St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church<br />
• Hunger Walk<br />
• Veterans Blankets<br />
• Soles for Souls<br />
• Special Equestrians<br />
• Cystic Fibrosis<br />
Parents who wish, can visit The Student<br />
Enrollment Office located inside<br />
the <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>County</strong> Public Education Center<br />
at 2855 Colonial Blvd in Fort Myers. The<br />
office is open 9:00am to 12:00pm and<br />
1:00pm to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.<br />
The office is closed from 12:00pm<br />
to 1:00pm. The Student Enrollment Office<br />
practices social distancing so only<br />
one family member is allowed in the<br />
lobby.<br />
