NATIONAL MAKE A DOG'S DAY
National Make a Dog's Day invites all dog owners to
dedicate this special day to giving extra love and
appreciation to their "best friend" while also bringing
awareness to the importance of shelter adoption,
particularly of those dogs with special needs.
Referred to as "underdogs," dogs with physical
impairments tend to be overlooked and
underestimated. During the creation of this book, we
were proud to discover that many of our employees
have adopted their dogs from shelters or other
rescue organizations!
We invite you to visit any of our branch locations
(including the drive-thru) to pickup a FREE special
goodie for your furry friend! Tennis balls, tug toys,
and/or treats! Available now until supplies last!

MEET: Winnie and Georgie
Winnie is a 6 year-old Wheaton Terrier who loves to ride in
the car and her favorite place to be is at the family cabin
where she runs free, chases squirrels and barks at birds.
Georgie is a 2 year-old French
Bulldog who loves people and
attention. She especially loves
the birthday parties she gets to
celebrate with her humans
every year! She is the princess
of the family.

adorable little trouble-maker

Loki is a 7 year-old
Husky/Border Collie mix who
loves runs at Grandma's
house. His favorite words
are "Girlfriend", "Cucumber"
and "Grandma".
Nala is a 6 year-old Mastiff mix from Chisana who is a lap dog
that weighs 125 pounds! She loves to snuggle on her pillows
and heated blanket. According to her human, "Give her one
pet and she'll love you forever."

This dynamic duo love snuggling up for naps together!
Annie and Eli found their happy home with the help of the
shelter and an animal rescue group. During the workday,
they attend doggie camp where they are the stars!

Bunkey is a 7 year old chihuahua dachshund
mix who after being found at the transfer site,
was adopted by the family who had given her a
temporary home. She is their treasure!

Lucy is a one year-old husky/shepherd mix adopted
from Loving Companions. She has tons of energy,
loves to go on jogs, and is a very chatty and sweet girl.

MEET: Kinley and Nyah
Nyah is a chocolate lab mix adopted from Healy, Alaska in
2009. She's a very affectionate and sensitive girl, but is quite
the opportunist when it comes to food and table scraps! Kinley
is a black lab/heeler mix adopted from the Fairbanks Animal
Shelter in 2012. She loves fetching balls and swimming!

isn't able to snuggle as close to his humans as he wants.
Ruger is a beautiful Irish Setter/Labrador mix who was born
in Colorado and will do anything for pets. His favorite food is
bread and can't be left alone with a loaf!

Whisky was rescued by his

blossomed from a weak
puppy to a rambunctious 50
pound boy! He's a bit of an
attention hog, and not afraid
to remind everyone that
without 100% of their
attention, he will waste
away! He loves to dig, go
on bike rides, chew sticks
along the Chena River and
explore the snowy trails of
Ester Dome.

"works" with the State of Alaska to help find
missing persons.

their loving home with the help of the Alaska Bully
Rescue in 2018. Their favorite things are car rides,
giving kisses and snuggling in their blankets. They love
