WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
It all started with a simple idea. The Twelve Days
of Christmas, Inc. is a distinguished national
service organization with more than 200
members in six chapters located in five states
and the District of Columbia.

The key initiative of The Twelve Days of
Christmas, Inc. is to organize “parties with a
purpose” to raise donations to bless less
fortunate families.

It all started with a simple idea
It All Began
Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. began in 1999 when the organization’s

founders, Gayla Gardner and her daughter Donya Gardner, decided to
bring in the millennium by sharing their blessings with others. Rather
than give gifts to their own family, they decided to give to others
instead. The founders invited their friends to host a series of Christmas
parties, held over the span of twelve consecutive days, and asked
guests to bring donations that would be distributed to less fortunate
families in the Houston area. The spirit of our founding chapter has also
spread nationally, leading to local chapters in New York City,
Washington D.C., Oakland, Atlanta, Detroit and Philadelphia.
The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc.- Atlanta Chapter is comprised of a passionate group of
business professionals and community leaders. You can find our team members in the
field of service, whether serving on boards or actively volunteering for other charitable
organizations such as: The Junior League of Atlanta, National Council of Negro Women,
Scottdale Early Learning, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and CASA of Dekalb and Fulton
Counties.

Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization created in 1999 with one simple mission: "To share our blessings
with others through collective effort, charitable activities and community involvement." We have committed ourselves
to remembering the true spirit of Christmas throughout the year by making a difference through the gift of giving.
As we embark upon our 8th season in Atlanta and 22nd season nationally, we have committed ourselves to making 2021
more profound and impactful than ever. In order to make this possible, we need your help!
Historically, our Atlanta Chapter has hosted our annual Party with a Purpose fundraiser. This in-person event has
attracted hundreds of guests, comprising a host of professionals from various fields. As such, we are asking for financial
and/or in-kind contributions to support the costs of our fundraising event and overall operating budget.
Although our events are ticketed, outside contributions allow us to offset event costs, thus allowing us to give majority
of the gift donations to the families we serve. Further, the advertisement we provide in exchange for contributions is
guaranteed to expand your clientele and audience base no matter the industry.
As we gear up for another holiday season, we hope that you will consider supporting the Atlanta Chapter of Twelve
Days of Christmas, Inc. Your contribution will enable us to support children and families during what has been a truly
challenging year. Last year, with the help of sponsors and individual supporters, we were able to support children and
families with gifts in the Metro Atlanta area in partnership with Atlanta Unbound Academy and CHRIS 180. We thank

T H E B I G E V E N T
Purpose a with Party
The Party with a Purpose, the Atlanta Chapter's
annual fundraising event, gathers a host of
Atlanta professionals to share in an evening of
revelry in support of the mission of Twelve Days
of Christmas, Inc.
This year's party will be hosted at Upstairs
Atlanta*, an attractive location that invites
guests, sponsors, and community partners to
connect over a common cause.
Attendees enjoy live music, access to a raffle,
dancing, and other activities that ignite the
holiday spirit and encourage philanthropy.
The chapter holds a holiday celebration with the
partner school or nonprofit following the Party
with a Purpose, where gifts are distributed.
*In the event of additional Covid-19 precautions
mandated by the City of Atlanta or Upstairs Atlanta, the
chapter will host a virtual event with an online auction
in lieu of an in-person raffle.

Our chapter is comprised of a team
of members and hostesses who
contribute their personal time and
funds to offset expenses, in an
effort to ensure that every dollar
donated for gifts is used to support
students in need! Our team
includes a wide range of
passionate, business professionals
and community leaders. You can
find our team members in the field
of service, whether serving on
boards or actively volunteering for
other worthwhile charities, such
as: The Junior League of Atlanta,
Big Brothers Big Sisters, Walker’s
Legacy, Girl Scouts of Greater
Atlanta and CASA of Dekalb and
Fulton Counties.

Our partner schools and nonprofit organizations are
selected by the chapter based on recommendations
from churches, social service organizations, and even
the Meet
by chapter members. Most recently, we have
partnered with Resurgence Hall, The Kindezi Schools,
Atlanta Unbound Academy & CHRIS 180.
We are currently accepting nominations for Atlantaarea
schools and nonprofit organizations.
When Covid-19 struck in 2020, the Atlanta Chapter raised funds to provide funds for
Students
summer meals, and virtual learning resources for Atlanta Unbound Academy, a K-8 school
community that provides a rigorous, empowering, and culturally relevant education to
students in Atlanta. Later that year, the chapter also partnered with CHRIS 180 to provide
holiday gifts for children and families served by the nonprofit. CHRIS 180 is an Atlantabased
mental health nonprofit that provides children, adults, and families with highquality,
trauma-informed behavioral health services and support systems.

also provide Christmas gifts to teens in
the organization's JourneyZ group
homes program! The program provides
safe and stable housing, specialized
counseling and individualized
life/financial skills training and support
services to high needs children in
Georgia's foster care system.
