hospitality
the blockhouse hotel was inspired by the spirit of
pittsburgh. the last remaining building of fort pitt, the
fort pitt blockhouse, is the oldest existing structure in
western pennsylvania. we take inspiration from this
representation of pittsburgh’s rich history, as well as it’s
main building material; concrete.
pittsburgh has an unforgettable
essence of eclecticism; represented
through the many diverse neighborhoods
which all house a unique feel.
this is emulated through our use of
varied material finishes.
