It’s the screening no one likes to talk about, yet colorectal

cancer is one of the most preventable cancers and most

treatable if detected early. If you have not received your

colonoscopy this year, now is a great time to get back on

track with Sioux Center Health.

Colon screenings are recommended beginning at age

50, when doctors can spot and remove polyps that may

eventually become cancerous. Colon cancer is the third

most common cancer in both men and women, so it is

important to receive regular colon screenings to detect

this disease in its early stage.

“I believe good public education is the

“I want people to understand who

we are, what we do and how we do it.

Schools get beaten up, but in reality they

are doing very good things,” he said.

Some of the good things O’Donnell

pointed out is the fact that public schools
