Working Part-Time in the kitchen is hard

I graduated from high school at the age of 19 and became

a college student. At that time, I started looking for a place to

work and started a part-time job in the Momstouch kitchen.

The Momstouch kitchen is a thankful fast food restaurant that

allowed me to work, although I was not an adult. However

kitchen work was very difficult.

There are many reason why kitchen work is difficult. If you

go into the kitchen for the first time, you will be surprise by

the heat of the oil. Because of the heat of the oil, the cook

wears a short-sleeved T-shirt even in winter. And in the

summer, It’s as hot as death. While working, I keep sweating

and it doesn’t cool down even if I turn on the air conditioner.

So, the clothes I wore after work are wet because of sweat.

And the smell of oil soaking is really bad that even if I do

laundry, the smell dose not come out well. So it’s hot and

hard just standing in the kitchen.

It is not only because it is hot and the kitchen work is

difficult. If you go to work in the kitchen for the first time,

you should memorize all the recipes you have to make in the

kitchen. MomsTouch has more than 30 burgers and about 20

side menus. There are also more than 10 types of sauces in

burgers. So it takes a long time and is difficult to memorize

all the recipes. After memorizing all the recipes, I now have to

learn how to prepare the ingredients I needed to make food.

First of all, you have to learn how to make patties. This is


because it is the most important thing. If you make a wrong

patty, it may not be cooked properly. And you learn how to

prepare ingredients such as lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. I

had to learn so much to do kitchen work. So I started

working, and for two months, I memorized the recipe and

learned how to prepare ingredients.

I've been working for about eight months. So now I have

memorized all the recipes, made patties well, and know how

to prepare all the ingredients. However, even if you memorize

all the recipe and know how to prepare all the ingredients,

there are still many difficulties in kitchen work. It is very

difficult to make many foods fast according to the customer's

order. Sometimes, on days when there are many customers,

there are times when they work without resting for hours. This

kind of day is really exhausting and difficult because I have to

work without eating. The whole body smells of oil, and the

clothes are soaked in sweat. On such a day, I wash up and

fall asleep as soon as I get home after work. Sometimes I

want to quit my job, but when I get paid, I feel better and

can't quit.

However, there is something I realized while working

part-time with such a hard time. I didn't know when I bought

it, but kitchen work is hard. So I thought I should be more

thankful when I buy food from now on. And another thing I

realized was that making money is very difficult.


Cooking as a Hobby

Have you ever made a meal by yourself? Unfortunately, most people haven’t.

They don ’t know how much positive impact cooking can have in their life. Cooking

can be an art, science, and craft-making. It is using heat(sometimes not) and cooking

techniques

to prepare

food for consumption . Cooking

techniques

can be varied in

many

different

ways, such

as grilling

food

over

an open

fire, using electric stoves ,

and baking in ovens. In this article, I will tell you more about the positive aspects of

having cooking as a hobby.

First , cooking food at your home is healthier than buying food from

outside . In recent years , the proportion

of people ordering delivery food has

increased to an equivalent amount . The number of people ordering delivery food

has sky - rocketed

from 2.5 million to 7.5 million in the past 2 years . This will

eventually lead to the deterioration of health . However , there is a solution to this

problem. It is having cooking as one of your hobbies. If you cook by yourself at home

, you can use healthier ingredients . There are many organic ingredients in the

markets these days. Also, you can reduce salt and sugar . You cannot choose the

amount of salt or sugar added to the food that you buy outside . On the other hand,

it’s always your choice to put in whatever amount of sugar or salt in your food. In

addition, you can reduce calorie consumption . You could do this by reducing high

-calorie ingredients and putting in more low-fat or calorie ingredients.


Second , cooking food by yourself can save a tremendous amount of your

money. We are used to seeing 20$ signs for a pizza. However, if you make a pizza by

yourself, you can reduce the money that you pay. You only need an oven, flour, water,

tomato sauce, pepperoni , vegetables , and cheese to make a pizza. If you add all the

prices of these ingredients , it will be around 10$ or so. It's only half the price of the

pizza you buy outside . Pizza is just one of many examples . You could make spaghetti ,

kimbap , chicken , or any kind of food that you want to enjoy. It’s not only the price of

the ingredients that you can save, you can also save other parts that make up the price

of food. The price of food that you buy outside does not consist solely of the price of

ingredients . It also consists of labor cost, electricity cost, and gas cost. You can save all

these bills and costs just by cooking by yourself at home . Having cooking as your

hobby can be one of the most rational decisions that you make in your life.

Last , cooking can help you build up your self -esteem and confidence.

According to ‘Pubmed ’, which is the National Center for Biotechnology Information ,

cooking can redeem your self-esteem and can even make your self-esteem much higher.

Also , it’s not only the self-esteem that you can enhance , you can also boost up your

confidence by cooking . This is because cooking requires steps . If you want to cook

something , you would have to plan many steps and achieve them. When you achieve

the goals that you have planned , your self-trust will go higher and this will eventually

lead to higher confidence

and higher self -esteem . In addition , as many studies

concluded , spending time in the kitchen can release stress and restlessness

, and

enhance mindfulness. Not only does the process of cooking and baking improve moods ,

the feeling of satisfaction gained when seeing the end product naturally enhances

happiness . There are many YouTube videos and books that tell you the stories of people

who recovered their low self-esteem and low confidence by cooking . Watching these

videos and reading these books could help you get yourself motivated to try cooking by

yourself at home.


In conclusion , there are many enjoyable hobbies that you can have, such as playing

computer games , watching tv, and fishing . However , there aren’t that many hobbies that

allow you to enhance your health, save money, and boost up your self-esteem. Cooking can

satisfy all these conditions, and can even be undoubtfully fun too. For these reasons, cooking

can be a very splendid hobby . I sincerely hope that you can enjoy your self-made pizza

someday.



Fresh tangerines, dried fruits, and what should you eat for smooth blood

circulation?

There are two foods around us that affect blood circulation. One of them is a

eating fresh tangerines. Since the sugar in dried fruits is very high, excessive
