Our Story
In June 2000 LEDtech was formed and we set about creating a replacement
for the neon cold cathode tube. It had to be safe to touch, robust, easy to use
and suitable for both indoors and out. The result was Hi-Lite I, our first
acrylic LED contour tube

isive started in 2000 and was originally
called LEDtech. The company was founded, and
the products developed by bringing together
market sales experts and the highly skilled
engineers from MDS, a high-tech design and
manufacturing company.
LEDtech Branding
This unique approach in this sector meant that
our products were developed with functionality,
reliability and quality as the overall objective
rather than creating the cheapest solution and
the problems that brings to the user.
The Visive contour / border product is currently
in its third generation with each generation
bringing advancements in product design and
ease of manufacture. With the energy efficiency
improvements within LED technology some of
the Visive products now use less than 1.2W /
metre compared to 5.0W / metre when the
original Hi-Lite product was conceived. A fourth
generation of product is currently under
development which will see further benefits
being added for the installer of the products.
Hi-Lite30 is a 30mm diameter tube with a
gloss finish as standard for the single-coloured
products. It is supplied in three standard
lengths with two adjustable lengths available
allowing the product to be supplied in bulk and
across the globe.
We have a large colour palette to choose from as
well as Hi-Brow30 which provides a wall wash
effect.
As part of our goal to provide a solution
customers can use safely and reliably outdoors,
we developed what we call ‘the CSC’. A clever
piece of patented electronics that monitors the
health of an external installation 24/7. In the
event the CSC detects an issue it disables the
output of the CSC and displays the potential
fault, protecting both individuals as well as the
installation.
Recently we have seen an increase in the number
of inferior contour / border products in the
market and even some copycat products. We
therefore decided to introduce the Visive quality
mark providing users with reassurance they are
using the highest quality product, designed and
manufactured by Visive.

ever Innovations, one of our partners and distributors in the Netherlands chose Hi-Lite 30 Chroma
in Sky Blue to illuminate the RAI events centre. A white extruded acrylic with coloured LEDs as its light
source, the product is a neutral white stripe during daylight and a provides a soft pastel colour when
illuminated.
The Visive product was also chosen because of its ease of installation and reliability which are essential
with such a large installation and where product is fitted in difficult and high positions.
Our products are also the only contour / border solution powered through our patented CSC protection
device, providing levels of protection other manufacturers don’t offer.
The team at Visive and Bever had to overcome many challenges, including manufacturing the rigid tube for
bespoke curves and corners as well as using high-friction clips for vertical elevations to ensure the tube
would stay firmly in place with no slippage.
The installers had to reach heights of over 90m using specialised access equipment in a busy public area in
order to install the Chroma product to several elevations.
The RAI Amsterdam is a multi-functional event centre which believes in the power of connecting people.
Since 1893, RAI Amsterdam has actively tried to create the right context for inspiring meetings to take
place in and strong ties to develop in.
As the organising party, RAI Exhibitions connects context, content and communities utilising national and
international consumer and professional trade fairs.

Making A Statement
The distinctive OK DINER brand can be seen on several road-sides across the
UK and the welcoming exterior façade has been enhanced by Hi-Lite Classic
LED contour tube.
F
or the last 10-years OK DINER have been
giving customers an authentic diner experience
with stacked burgers, griddle favourites,
bottomless coffee plus wings and dogs (that’s
chicken wings and hot dogs to us).
Visive supplied the Hi-Lite Classic LED
contour tube to Harper Signs, who completed
the installation of the signage for OK DINER.
To provide the maximum impact two different
coloured LED linear lines were used in parallel.
For over 65 years Harpers Signs has been
providing quality products and excellent
customer service. They design, manufacture and
install signage for various leading brands in the
leisure complexes, restaurants, hotels and retail
stores in the UK.

Creating A Bright Identity
Visive LED contour tube illuminates Big Yellow Self Storage Gloucester site.

ig Yellow Self Storage is the UK’s most
recognised self-storage brand providing secure
and modern self-storage solutions for homes
and businesses nationwide. They combine the
latest technology with excellent customer
service across a network of 96 sites to deliver
storage solutions for over 65,000 customers.
Big Yellow sites are found in high profile, easy–
to–access locations with storage rooms ranging
from 10 to 400 sq ft plus larger warehouse and
industrial units available to rent.
Hi-Lite 30 was installed on the exterior of their
Gloucester site to increase the visual
prominence and reinforcing Big Yellow’s brand
positioning. Hi-Lite 30 contour tube was
chosen for this site based on its sustainability,
quality, energy efficiency, reliability and safety
features.
Other Big Yellow sites which have received Hi-
Lite 30 include Norwich and Cardiff.
This Big Yellow lighting project was managed and
installed by Image Technique Ltd, a market
leader in the implementation of corporate
branded environments. Their services encompass
signage, wayfinding, digital media and lifestyle
graphics to deliver a true turnkey solution.

Hi-Lite 30 - Performing Well
TGI Fridays at Ashton U Lyne is their latest legendary restaurant to receive
new, quality external LED lighting, welcoming customers to experience the
vibrant atmosphere and delicious menu.
N
ew York, 1965. The year the first Fridays
opened on the corner of 63rd+1st with the
timeless promise ‘In here, it’s always Friday’.
Inspired by the Barnum & Bailey Circus and with
an ambition to put on the ‘greatest show on
earth’ a red and white striped phenomenon was
born.
Harper Signs has worked with Visive Group on
several valued projects and based on the
customer requiring a robust, reliable and safe
product, installing Hi-Lite30 Border LED
contour tube to external elevations was the best
choice.
Harper Signs were looking to create the candyfloss
effect around the building fascia.
Our Technical team were able to calculate a
fixed length for each colour allowing a
consistent appearance around the entire
building.
Fixed lengths were evenly maintained around the
corners of the building by supplying bespoke
length sections of Hi-Lite30 Border.
By alternating between white and red Hi-
Lite30 Border, Harper Signs were able to
deliver a stunning installation that showcases the
TGI Friday branding.

The Enduring Light
We have been supplying bp with Hi-Lite Classic Green for more than 20 years and
it remains their preferred choice, acting as a beacon for customers looking for
energy for their vehicles.
H
aving supplied bp with over 300km of Hi-
Lite LED contour tube since 2000; we are
delighted to have secured a further 5-year
contract directly with bp to supply them with
our quality LED products and outstanding
service.
Service stations are a fast-changing
environment, and our electronic design team
are constantly looking at ways to offer new,
innovative ideas and great-looking products
that are safe, reliable, easy to install and
virtually maintenance free.
In 2003, we developed a Current Sense Circuit
(CSC) protection device which has given bp and
service station operators that surety their
illuminated brand identity remains safe and
monitored 24/7.
Visive has worked closely with bp's marketing
team on several projects including their modern
Bright Green Beacon (BGB) design that provides
a fresher green LED contour tube to the canopy
fascia's, stanchions and PID's.
A distinct advantage of Hi-Lite30 Classic is its
appearance when viewed from various angles –
no spotting of LEDs – this was very important to
bp's technical team when assessing different
products.
Hi-Lite is now installed on bp's service stations
in China, Mexico, Kenya, UK and several
countries in Europe.

sing Hi-Lite in blue and turquoise

e have been supplying LED low energy
contour products globally to service stations for
more than 20 years via our distribution and
signage partners and our products can be seen
adding colour to almost every major fuel brand.
We are therefore delighted our products are
now being used by Motor Fuel Group (MFG) on
their new EV ultra-rapid charging hubs, like the
site shown above in Stretford, Manchester M32
8LF.
The revolution in the electric vehicle market is
gathering momentum and companies like MFG
are investing heavily in EV technology & new
sites. MFG plans are to add over 200 x 150kW
EV ultra-rapid chargers to their network of over
900 sites in 2021. MFG EV Power on the App

Visive Hi-Lite30 range is the perfect solution to
ensure these EV charging sites are easily
identifiable and inviting. From the Border
product available in 7 vibrant colours to Chroma
that provides a range of softer pastel colours,
there is a colour to match the most creative
designs. Whether identifying a new brand or
continuing a colour scheme across other areas of
the forecourt including canopies, pole signs or
MID, Visive have the solution.
The UK EV map is changing daily and typically, in
the last 30-days 1215 new connectors have been
added to the 24,813 devices which are currently
available to provide power to the 246,000 full
battery EVs registered in the UK. It is forecast
that the electric vehicle charging stations market
will reach a value of £74.83 billion by 2028.

Awash With Colour
The newly opened Skelton Lake Service area on the A1/M1 link road outside
Leeds has received the premium branded image including Hi-Brow 30 & Hi-
Lite 30 Classic supplied by Visive Group and installed by Astley Signs.
n total, 146m of red Hi-Brow 30 contour tube
was installed on site to the canopy fasciae. Hi-
Brow 30 tube features lensed LEDs in a
frosted acrylic extrusion, providing a consistent
wash light glow which is projected down the
fascia from behind the top pelmet extrusion.
The Visive contour/border products are fitted on
a surface using a our own transparent snap lock
clip, including a friction clip. For installations like
this where product is installed vertically, fitting
the friction clip ensures the product remains in
it’s intended position.
By choosing the red Hi-Brow 30 product,
Astley were able to enhance the red fascia
sections, producing an incredibly deep red affect
and giving this iconic brand and colour scheme
the quality illumination it deserves.
Red Hi-Lite 30 Classic was then installed
vertically to the stanchions and leading edge of
the spreader boxes. This allowed the colour
scheme to continue under canopy and maintain
that clean and vibrant look.
Visive provides full details of how to use this
friction clip correctly along with full installation
instructions. We also provide training webinars
and tech talk videos available via our website and
on YouTube.
Both Hi-Lite30 and Hi-Brow30 can be
supplied as standard in 2.4m fixed lengths as well
as 1.2m & 2.4m adjustable lengths which can be
adjusted onsite by the
installer. Customers with very specific
requirements can request, at an additional cost,
bespoke factory-built lengths.

An Even, Crisp Light
Petrol Sign secures contract with Euro Garages to install a new ‘Eye-Brow’
identity to canopy fascia’s on hundreds of Esso branded service stations in
Europe.
H
i-Brow 30 contour tube was selected
based on its consistent even wash-light output,
sustainability, energy efficiency, reliability,
safety features and easy to install plug and play
tubing.
Petrol Sign and Visive worked in collaboration
to ensure that the wash-light angle fitted into a
specially designed extrusion to the top of the
fascia to meet the ExxonMobil brand
specification.
Hi-Brow 30 contour tube features a robust
30mm diameter clear acrylic tube and lensed
LEDs to provide that extra depth of even light to
the fascia up to 1 metre deep. Furthermore, the
contour tube has an adjustable section for quick,
easy and efficient installations.
The Hi-Brow branding is now part of Esso's
synergy low energy corporate identity on sites
throughout the UK & Europe.
EG Group owns and operates over 5,400 service
stations in nine countries.

Supporting Creative Advertising
Custom curved sections of Hi-Lite Harlequin RGB tube create feature
lighting which can be set to tone with the current advertising campaign.
O
utdoor media specialists JCDecaux
required an eye-catching lighting feature for
their new billboard totems at the Trafford
Centre, Manchester. They wanted to be able to
change the colour of this lighting quickly and
easily, to suit the particular advertisement on
display. The solution had to be physically robust
and fully weather resistant to survive the
exposed and unmanned locations.
Visive supplied custom curved sections of Hi-
Lite Harlequin RGB LED contour tubing to
provide an intense multi-coloured lighting
solution to the totems. Six oval hoops of Hi-
Lite encircle the fixture, with the top three
hoops raked at an angle to echo the top of the
totem column. A customised version of the
Visive DMX master controller was used to allow
simple setting of colours from within each unit.
Hi-Lite Harlequin RGB combines all the
features of the
standard Hi-Lite range – weather proofing to
IP66, robust design, simple ‘plug and play’
installation – with a full colour mixing control
system, allowing the illuminated colour to be
selected from a palate of over 16 million colours.
Visive’s standard DMX master controller allows
operators to select from a range of preprogrammed
colours and effects. For this
application, the customer required that the
controller allowed an operator to set relative
brightness levels of red, green and blue directly.
Visive developed a custom version of its standard
controller to facilitate this. The solution enables a
new colour for a particular advertising campaign
to be developed on an off-site test rig, with the
RGB values for this colour then being passed on
to a local operations crew. The local crew can
them dial these values into the master controller
within the sign.

Wired4Signs USA are our first US stockist of border tube products. The full
range of colours our LED border solutions provide can now been seen
brightening up cityscapes.

isive has supplied LED border / contour tube
to the US previously but W4S USA is the first
official stockist we have had. Sonic Drive-In
with more than 3500 restaurants are one of
several larger brands we have supplied our LED
illuminated border solution to.
The Visive contour / border products are
available as UL approved.
The latest versions of our border / contour
include an easy to use adjustable section allowing
even the most challenging locations to be fitted
with our product.
With a mounting clip specifically designed to be
hidden, Hi-Lite and Hi-Brow is already
proving to be the LED border solution of choice
by US installers and vendors.
For US customers who have a smaller number of
outlets it was not practicable to supply direct
from the UK. By appointing W4S USA as a
stockist located in Powell, Tennessee we have
been able to make our products more accessible
to customers.
The above pictures are a small selection of US
installations completed in 2021 and demonstrate
how effective the Visive product is in
transforming dull, uninviting buildings into eyecatching,
warm and welcoming locations.

The Smart Solution
Visive is the only LED border / contour solution powered through our
patented CSC protection device, ensuring your installation is always safe and
working correctly.
A
ll our outdoor power supplies include our
patented Current Sense Circuit (CSC) as
standard, providing a greater level of protection
than other LED contour / border solutions as
well as making installation and maintenance
easier.
The Visive LED contour / border solutions are all
plug and play. Simply connect your Hi-Lite or
Hi-Brow sections into the PSU supplied and
your installation is automatically protected by
the CSC.
Continual testing
The CSC continuously and automatically
performs tests on the DC supply of the LED
contour tubing installation. If a fault is detected
the DC supply is automatically disabled. This
automatic detection and power shutdown helps
to dramatically reduce the risks associated with
using any electrical product outdoors.
Safety features
The Visive LED border/contour tubing is already
a brilliantly safe product for use in public access
areas as it is safe to touch with zero risk of shock.
The CSC system adds to these existing safety
features making both Hi-Brow30 and Hi-
Lite30 ideal products for use in retail chain
stores, hotels, restaurants, cinemas, service
stations, supermarkets and casinos.
Troubleshooting
Although the CSC’s primary function is safety,
the device does come with a status LED which
indicates the cause of the fault. The pulse ratio of
the status LED relates to a specific fault issue.
This troubleshooting aid means quicker fault
diagnostics, considerably less down time and cost
savings.
