CONCERT HALL

AR 203 DESIGN STUDIO III - DAVID WHITE

Concert Hall is one of the first large-scale projects that were offered to

students in the second year of education. Students were allocated a site in

downtown San Diego, near the highway exit to the city. Students had to

generate not only theater buildings, but also a new tourist place, architecture

that would attract people to itself and breathe new life into the

forgotten part of the city center. Listening to three different compositions,

we had to create eight different shapes that echoed the music provided.

As a result, one of these eight forms was chosen and developed into a

building.

Above you can see three out six floor plans that were

designed for the Concert Hall. In addition to the

Concert Hall, the building also has many thoughtful

other programs that are required in such a building,

such as underground parking, cafeterias, toilets on

each floor, and also offices on the last two floors. I

was very inspired by crystals, which is why the shape

of my Concert Hall resembles a large and monumental

crystal.

This double house was the first residential project in my studies, our task was

to program and design a house for two families. Our clients were the characters

of the film, ”my uncle”, we had to get to know our clients, their desires and

priorities in order to make the perfect home for them.

Of course, the father`s family got most of the house, since their family is three

people, uncle's house is much smaller, because he lives alone.

On the ground floor there are common rooms such as a guest room, a dining

room, a kitchen, a garage and a family room. On the second floor are all the

bedrooms of the owners of the house, each bedroom has its own toilet and

closets.

These renderings were created in

the 3ds max program, the

students were faced with the task

of generating a two-story Coffee

Shop with the addition of decor

to their liking.

The pictures show the final

modeling of this cafe, each detail

has been modeled separately, as

well as the lighting, materials and

textures. Also, each student was

asked to choose a color with

which their project will be

associated, as you can see, I

chose the color of the metol. This

class helped me master the 3ds

max program and use renderings

performances in this program.
