Welcome to the Presentation
of Switzerland
Tiny in size, Switzerland is a country with tremendous global presence.
To consumers ”Made in Switzerland” is a seal of approval, a visual
representation of luxury, quality, innovation and trust.
Also the Swiss cosmetic industry concentrates on highly developed
specialized products and services. The strengths which distinguish
Swiss firms from their competitors are product quality and reliability as
well as innovation and customization.
Switzerland having a reputation of outstanding natural beauty,
efficiency, precision, a high standard of life and quality products, it no
wonder that “Swiss Made” goods have become popular amongst
Chinese consumers.
During this year’s Cosmoprof Asia from 14–16 November 2012,
17 Swiss companies will be presenting an attractive range of products
and innovations at the SWISS Pavilion. It will be the biggest presence
ever for Switzerland.
The cosmetics products presented in the SWISS Pavilion cover all
areas of sectors of beauty care. Modern skincare lines will be on show
as well as products containing biological ingredients. Among our
ex hibitors are also divers contract manufacturers and one supplier of
active ingredients. Anti-aging products for face and body will be represented
in the product range of various exhibitors, along with care treatments
for particularly sensitive skin. Detailed information about each
Swiss company represented can be found on the following pages.
The SWISS Pavilion is located in Hall 1, Perfumery, Cosmetics &
Toiletries, Booth No. 1E-N3A–1E-P3F and is organised by Osec in
close co-operation with the Consulate General of Switzerland in
Hong Kong and kindly supported by The Swiss Cosmetic and Detergent
Association (SKW).
Osec is the umbrella organisation for the promotion of exports, imports
and investment, as well as for the promotion of Switzerland as a business
location, making it “The home of foreign trade promotion”.

The Swiss Cosmetic and Detergent Association (SKW) is the lead-
ing Swiss national association of the cosmetics, detergents and
soap producers and importers. The SKW is affiliated with the Euro-
pean umbrella organizations the “European Cosmetics Association”
(COLIPA) and the “International Association of the Soap, Detergent
and Maintenance Products Industry” (A.I.S.E.).
The purpose of the SKW is to protect and promote the common
interests of the cosmetics and detergent industries and their indi-
vidual sectors, in particular by:
• representing them in dealings with the authorities, official bodies,

business associations, consumer organizations and other
NGO’s, and the media
• acting on their behalf as a collective member of international
industry associations
• providing information and contacts to their members
Its 80 members pull in domestic sales of about CHF 4 billion
(reseller prices) and employ some 5,500 people.
Fifty of these members are domestic Swiss Manufacturers. “Swiss
Made” cosmetic products enjoy an excellent reputation around the
world for their state of the art technology, their outstanding quality
and their excellent safety.
Important goals of the Swiss companies are to meet the rising
needs of constantly more fastidious customers, to recognize
lifestyle trends promptly and to create new substances and
products for their demanding clientele.
