"A story about one of the most prominent youth leaders in the community"
"OH, RENZ!"
RENZ RANGER
By Rachel L. Ruperto
In the prosperous year of 1998, a baby boy
was born in the city of Dumaguete. His name?
Renz Macion
Dumaguete is truly a lucky city. Why?
Because Renz later grew up to be a leader
of the new generation.
Dumaguete
From a young age, he showed true leadership and
love for all the citizens in his hometown and
country. As he grew older, this urge to help others
took root in his heart.
He became the Majority Floor Leader in the Silliman
University Student Assembly in 2016-2017 as well as the
Governor of the College of Mass Communication in his
senior year.
Then, he created the Project ABAKADA which aims for
cultural preservation and quality education. With this project,
he was qualified for Ayala Young Leaders Congress in 2017.
MOST OUTSTANDING INTERN OF 2018
As he graduated, he continued to share his skills and
leadership to others outside of the campus. Fruit of
this is his being awarded as the Most Outstanding
Intern of the Local Government Unit of Dumaguete in
2018.
But his contributions do not stop there! Renz also
became the SK Chairperson of Poblacion 08 in 2018.
Where he pushed his #KaubanKita Movement to enable
others to participate actively in their barangay.

About the Author
As a youth, I am truly inspired by his contributions to the
community. I am similar with him in the way that we both
want what is good, or if possible best, for the community
that we live in and the people that inhabit it.
