This year as you walk around the show hall you may notice that cages are missing

the Mid Essex rosettes, we have replaced these with seed vouchers. This decision

was taken by the club for a number of reasons. Firstly this is a much more Ecofriendly

option. Instead of the cost going on rosettes it goes to the exhibitor to use

against seed which is much more practical. One less rosette on the cage will make

the exhibits easier to see. Lots of exhibitors have boxes full of old rosettes that they

don't know what to do with. So this seemed like a logical decision which we hope

will be well received. Of course rosettes can still be won at our show from all the

societies that award patronage to us. Special thanks go to Albert E James & Son Ltd

(Countrywide Seed) for supporting us in this initiative.

Our sponsors have again shown tremendous generosity to allow us to create

incentives and rewards to exhibitors seldom witnessed at a local show. You all

helped us to create one of the biggest club shows based on benched numbers in

the whole of the UK.

Innovative, creative original ideas are not just saved for our show, we also want to

be the club of choice and we have put a lot of effort to attracting members within our

London & Southern Counties area. As a club we are able to offer subsidised

branded seed, a bird trader service four times a year to purchase surplus birds, bird

and aviary visits, monthly newsletter & a members Facebook group. Connect with

The Mid Essex Budgerigar Society either online or at a meeting, everyone is very

welcome.

We hope you have an enjoyable day with us at our show.

Thank you from Everyone at The Mid Essex Budgerigar Society
