DESIGNER TEXTILE
KALARAV DI MELDOLESI LIVIA (Italy): A design studio working in several
fields. From graphics to fashion and interior design creations, KALARAV DI
MELDOLESI LIVIA put their analytical skills at the service of their clients’
needs. Going beyond trends, the studio often produces exclusive designs for
Italian and international textiles.
SALMARINA (Hong-King): Textile designer since 2005, SALMARINA propose
collections of finely executed designs using trendy colours as well as a print
collection for beachwear with printed knits and circular knits for bathing suits as well
as lighter-weight fabrics in crêpe and net for pareos and beach products.
ATELIER CALISTI-LE GALL (France): The painter Marcelle Calisti, a contemporary
of Raoul Dufy and Sonia Delaunay, created this atelier in 1937. Quickly renowned
for her flower-filled gardens, she went to London to work as a colourist and fabric
designer with the Courtaulds Group, then to Alsace with the Schaeffer Impression
Group, to Germany with the Mulforter Company, and to Italy with the Miroglio Group,
and the Cantoni, Satilai and Monteoliveto and Ponte Arno Companies.
Marie-Jeanne Calisti and her design team propose hand painted fabrics as well as
computer-assisted designs for lingerie and ready-to-wear, and are always vigilant in
upholding the atelier’s reputation for style and savoir-faire
LACE IT
TRIMLACE (United Kingdom): The company, formed in 1983, specializes in
creating narrow-width fabrics for sport and leisure, and lace for lingerie and
80% of their production is exported throughout the world.
The collection includes three product ranges: narrow-width decorative fabrics in
solids, stripes, and prints and ribbed fabrics; heat transfer, rigid or stretch tulle; and
Raschel, Jacquard and Textronic laces in braids and widths; as well as rigid or
stretch printed tulles and fabrics, and knit fabrics and speciality tulles.
