Hello and welcome to Edgware Town FC players, staff and club committee and to all supporters in attendance
for this afternoons Combined Counties Premier North fixture. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
The squad have been in a good place and have been putting in the hard work in training. Commitment has
been great, despite the covid having an impact on some of the players but we have come through this period a
stronger, fitter and a more together team. The result was a well-earned 3 points away at Wembley last
Saturday.
After this weekend, we can look forward to our county cup home fixture against Thatcham Town on Tuesday,
we hope to see many supporters on the night as we battle out for a quarter-final place.
Edgware Town have an abundance of young, talented individuals in their team. Fantastic in 1v1 scenarios and
fearless on the attack. In the reverse fixture in October, we quickly went two goals down before coming back
to win 4-2 so we expect a very entertaining game for the neutral.
In other club news, congratulations to George Lock for making his 150th appearance for the club last
weekend against Wembley. ‘Locky’ has been an incredibly committed, hard working and reliable player and
has been a delight to manage since his arrival to the club.
Also, stay tuned for a new signing next week and former player returning to the club!
