Plant Hire Controller<br />
Newcastle Based<br />
A leading heavy plant hire company based in Newcastle<br />
is currently seeking for a full time hire controller.<br />
The company operates a fleet of heavy construction<br />
equipment throughout Great Britain.<br />
The purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth<br />
management of the company’s operations.<br />
The position requires liaison with our sales team, outside<br />
contractors (transport), our own service crew and customers,<br />
to ensure that plant movements take place as planned.<br />
This position demands a high level of inter-personal skills and<br />
an ability to influence and negotiate both internally and<br />
externally. The ability to multitask and to work under<br />
pressure will be key requirements of the job holder.<br />
Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office<br />
is a requirement, as are good written and verbal<br />
communication skills. The successful applicant will be<br />
required to demonstrate an ability to contribute to and<br />
work flexibly as part of a small team.<br />
Candidates should have a minimum of two years relevant<br />
experience of transport logistics and scheduling of a service<br />
team, while experience within the plant hire industry would<br />
be an advantage.<br />
