Well, we couldn't get together in person but that doesn't mean we can have a program you can look through! Thanks to Eva Sieber and Christy Rahrig for pulling this together!

Welcome from the CEO, Brian Wagner
Thanks for attending our Annual Groundhog Day
celebration! It is great to be back in person,
and we look forward to having one of our best
events ever! Last year we were able to award
over $75,000 in Grants to local organizations.
Thanks to your support, this event grows bigger
and better each year. I’m excited that we were able to keep the
Great Groundhog Give-A-Way raffle as part of the event.
Tonight, you’ll learn about the changes being made in the
community, learn about the history of one of our awards, and
salute two local individuals who have given so much to make our
community a better place to live, work and grow. Congratulations
to Tom Barone, tonight’s recipient of the Dick Johnson Civic
Leadership Award, and to Brian Diamond for receiving the Brian T.
Wagner Community Leadership Award.
A final big “thank you” to the Foundation Council, CYF, MCCF
Board of Trustees, volunteers and especially the staff at MCCF
who make tonight possible. Words cannot express my
appreciation.
Welcome from Board Chair, Jim Wilson
Good evening and thank you for attending our
Groundhog Celebration. We welcome you tonight
as we recognize our newest honorees for the
Johnson and Wagner awards, Tom Barone and
Brian Diamond. We also gather with purpose to
raise funds for the annual Spring Grant
Competition. This opportunity to improve the
quality of life in Muskingum County through grants to local
nonprofits is certainly cause for celebration.
The MCCF Groundhog event allows us to reflect on how far we’ve
come, to embrace how much further we can go, and to give back
to a community that has given us so much. Tonight would not be
possible without the generosity of our sponsors, our donors, our
volunteers and everyone attending. Please enjoy your evening
and thank you for supporting your Community Foundation!
