Charity donations support

grassroot charities

“A huge thank you” to all exhibitors at the

Exclusively Show who donated products to In

Kind Direct, our charity initiative with

Progressive Housewares. The impressive total

value of products donated was estimated at

over £5,000. These items are already making a

huge positive impact, supporting 79 charitable

organisations In Kind Direct’s network.

With help from AMPM Transportation, products

have been distributed across England, Scotland,

Wales and Northern Ireland. Organisations that

are benefitting from the product donations

include community groups,

family welfare and children’s

charities, disability support

organisations, homelessness

projects, and more.

The Exclusively Gift

2021 saw the Exclusively Show once again

working with the British Independent

Retailers Association (Bira), with the Free

£100 Exclusively Gift Voucher which

ensured that a visit to the show is both

productive and cost-effective.

Exclusively Gift Vouchers were sent to Bira

Direct members operating in the

housewares, SDA, gift and lifestyle sectors

who had registered in advance to attend the

show. They simply had to spend £300 net of

VAT with one supplier to redeem their

voucher.

Will Jones, Chairman of Exclusively Shows

said: “This year’s ‘Exclusively Gift’ initiative

brought over 40 Bira members to the show.

In very challenging circumstances it was

great to see so many independent retailers

at the show and hear so many positive

comments about the show in general, and

the importance of face-to-face meetings in

our industry.”

Trend Talks

The Trend Talks programme drew

large audiences on both days.

The show-sponsored seminar was

extremely well received, attracting

large audiences, with record

numbers attending. In addition, the

show offered four Trend Tours that

were fully booked.

Phil Pond from Scarlet Opus

talked through three key trends:

Neo Luxe, Togetherness and

Reflect, which will influence

interiors over the next 18–24

months.

Trend Tours

The Trend Tours run by Scarlet

Opus took visitors on a circuit of

the show and highlighted six

exhibitors that were of special

interest for the three trends of

2022 onwards.

An understanding of trends

provide insights into

what consumers will want to buy

next. Applying this knowledge to

buying decisions, de-risks buying.

Furthermore interpreting and

incorporating trends when

merchandising will also encourage

sales.

The pandemic sounded an alarm,

alerting people to the larger

ecosystem we are part of and the

essentialness of living in harmony

with nature. A post-pandemic

economic recovery can also be a

green recovery built around green

principles, ensuring that all future

decisions are made with

consideration for people and the

exhibiting, and with features such

as the Trend Tours and Talks with

Scarlet Opus sold out, the

housewares. SDA and gift sectors

certainly rose to the occasion."
