A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed

between National Institute of Construction

Management & Research (NICMAR), a pioneer

institute of national importance for post graduate

education in the area of Construction Management

and BEXEL India Consulting on 01st Feb 2022 for

collaborating in the area of “Digital Transformation of

the Indian Construction Industry through Building

Information Management (BIM) techniques.”

The MoU was formalised by Prof. Dr. Anil Kashyap,

Director General of NICMAR and Mr. Juzer

Bastawala (GM-Tech, Bexel India) in the presence of

Prof. Dr. Sameer Jain and Prof. Dr. Sagar Malsane

representing NICMAR, while the signing ceremony

was virtually represented by Mr. Veljko Janic (CEO &

Co Founder, BEXEL Consulting, Serbia), Mr.

Ajithkumar Vadakkoot (MD), Mr. Arun Sivasankara

Pillai (CEO), Mr. Rajan Harikrishnan (GM-BD) and

Mr. Madhav Sreekumar (Manager - Education &

Training) of Bexel India Consulting.

• To promote research in the area of digital

transformation of construction Industry by using

advanced technology tools and to release

publications on benefits of using Digital

Transformation technologies in Construction

Industry.

• To impart training to students and to upskill the

industry resources in the area of digital

transformation and equip them to assume

leadership roles in Construction Industry.

Such a collaboration becomes all the more relevant

in the midst of Indian construction industry gearing up

to fully tap the power of digitisation, especially with

the Government mandate to fully utilise the 4D/5D

BIM capabilities in the projects of national importance

and with increasing number of multinationals’ eyeing

on India for outsourcing BIM Services.
