Hello, everyone.

We announced the appointment of

Kevin Bailey to the position of Global Brand President, Vans.

This appointment marks Kevin’s return to the Vans brand after holding several

enterprise leadership roles at VF.

Kevin was Vice President of Retail for Vans when VF acquired the brand in 2004.

He was later appointed as President of Vans, a role he held from 2009 to 2016.

Under his leadership, Vans revenue more than doubled to $2.2 billion.

Kevin brings a deep level of knowledge and understanding of the Vans brand, its

consumer, and the global business to this role. He will work closely with the Vans

leadership team and our enterprise functions as we focus on reenergizing Vans’

global growth.

Kevin replaces Doug Palladini who held the

Global Brand President role for Vans since 2016.

Doug joined Vans in 2004 and held various

marketing and general management roles at the

brand up to 2016.

Doug has contributed greatly to the brand’s

growth and success over the years.

We’re grateful for his passion for the brand and

his many contributions during his tenure. We

wish him all the best in his next chapter.

A BIT OF BACKGROUND INFO

In SP22 we are partnering again with the one and only

LIZZIE ARMANTO!

Together with her we are introducing the only

Women’s Signature Skate Shoe on the market.

This collaboration is not only exciting because it is a with a female skater,

but also because Lizzie is an incredible skateboarder and a role model on

and off the board.

A person that inspires you to be better, who shows up on the covers of

magazines and even has their own character in video games…She is shaping

the modern skate culture.

Lizzie started her career winning

almost every women’s contest she

entered.

In 2016, Lizzie was the first female to

ever grace the cover of Transworld

Skateboarding Magazine and in 2017,

the cover of Thrasher Magazinealongside

a 10-page interview and a

full video part.

Lizzie remains highly competitive in

Park terrain and will be representing

Finland in the Olympics. She is also

the first and only women to complete

Tony Hawks loop.

But even with all the

covers, Medals and

countless achievements

Lizzie is most passionate

about the role she plays

in skateboarding,

inspiring the next

generation of

skateboarders and

spreading that positive

message globally.


SKATE TARGET CONSUMER

The 14-24-year-old core and committed skateboarder is our target

audience for this collaboration.

This type of skateboarder is fully immersed in skate culture but takes

diverse creative inspiration from everywhere - fashion, music, art,

activism and both global and local community culture.

They are style leaders and care about trends, but also take pride in

finding ways to progress – on their board, mentally, physically and in their

style.

This consumer group respects Vans for our enduring support of

skateboarding, but wants Vans to be more progressive and inclusive, as

well as push Footwear & Apparel innovation through style, durability

and technical improvements.

This is what we are aiming for with the Lizzie collab.

APPAREL AND ACCESSORIES

The full collection features a variety of easy going silhouettes representing

and expressing 100% Lizzie’s approach to dressing up for Skateboarding:

SIMPLE YET FUNCTIONAL.

The pack features workwear-inspired pieces like the pant and zip vest which

is made of cotton canvas ripstop with a light poly fill. There is the knit tank

made from a lightweight mesh with exposed back details, a mini tee with

yarn died stripes and a Lizzie citrus patch on the left chest.

The pack also Includes Lizzie’s own Off The Wall pocket tee with embroidery

and lace applique detail on the front pocket and a long sleeve tee and fleece

with the citrus graphic on front and sleeve embroideries. The Fleece also

features satin drawcords.

When it came to accessories, she wanted to keep them functional: the waist

bag features a cell phone pocket at the front, the all-over print canvas

bucket hat is lightweight for sunny summer sessions, while the sock is a

taller version of our tech coolmax skate sock for extra protection with

embroidered graphics.

What difficult times we are going through!

We already cried, laughed, sang and even applauded in

some moments, but we never lost hope!

This is what we are made of: feelings, a mixture of

feelings and a power to re-event ourselves.

We felt the need to create something that really shows

who we are under this "protective shield“.

We all know that our eyes say a lot about us, but

saying "hello" or "goodbye" with a smile on your

face is priceless.

This pin that each one carries on their chest is a

way of saying that we are always here with a

smile on our face and with open arms to welcome

Hello everybody, I would like to present the new ASM

of our store ..... GIULY!

Her entry into the store was on January 6th, after working with

me for only 7 hours ..... I had to leave her in the store with only

my guys for 35 days (damn Covid-19).

Her baptism of fire was really special, as she was thrown into a

shitstorm (early winter sales), but despite everything she

immediately showed what we all call SPIRIT VAN DOREN !

Hi Vans Team,

My name is Jérôme and I started my career in the Paris Aèroville shop.

It didn't take me long to know what I was going to talk about because when I joined Vans, I

found everything I was looking for in a job and that would allow me to develop myself.

When I arrived in 2016 as an assistant manager, as a young father, I was happy and very

impatient to start because I always recognized myself in the Brand and the atmosphere

in every store, I visited is priceless!

When I started, I was immediately pleasantly surprised by:

• the human dimension of the company;

• its values, which reflect mine, and

• the quality of the trainings provided all along the way.

Following the various training courses and facing challenges, I had the opportunity to became a

manager, while another big event touched my life: the arrival of my second child.

Step by step, my team has become a real second family

and the fact that we all come from different backgrounds has

been a strength !

We all have learned from each other, and this element has

enabled us to achieve our goals and even exceed them.

Today as Store Manager, I was lucky to have the opportunity

to open a New Vans Outlet store in La Vallée Village

around Paris.

The switch from Retail to Outlet channel is not easy as it could seem:

It is a big challenge to discover new “codes” for me in the outlet business but at the same

time I’m always more and more passionate in doing it!

For my future?

I will continue to collaborate with new people, discover their talents, train them

and help them with all my experience in order to obtain a team cohesion and

progress,

Yes, that's how we started with the presentation of our client,

who at only 18 years old is an example of good heart,

genuineness and pure positive energy.

Since an early age, he has had a special love for our brand, he

started by telling us that his parents were not always able to

buy our sneakers and the best they could do was buy him

something that was more similar to an OLD SKOOL.

We felt his energy from the 1st minute that he walked into

our store and did the Vans Family points program, walked out

of here with a smile on his face and with his newly purchased

sneakers on his feet, and he commented to us out loud "I'll be

back, and I'll say to my friends that you are fantastic".

After only one day he fulfilled his promise, and here he was

with another friend enjoying each model they saw "they

looked like children at Disney", they bought almost

everything and always with the same positivity that

characterizes him, we couldn't be indifferent and toast you

with the SIZE 66.

He was chosen not because of the purchase he made,

but because of the positive spirit he carries within

him and transmits it to everyone, and he didn't

forget to "TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT VANS".

This month we gave our second 66 shoe! She’s Alex, a board

sports enthusiast who is a Vans fan, she had been going to our

store in the old town of Barcelona (Portaferrissa).

She didn’t know that we opened a

new store next to her home.

The same day she made a great

purchase for us, she joined the

Vans Family and made us feel

as if we had known each other

for a lifetime, she even invited

us to join her and her friends

for the weekend to surf and

have a drink.

The next day she was already

coming to get her mug!

After being with her the day before

and transmitting such a Van Doren

spirit to us, we decided to give her

our 66 shoe, she was super happy!


David Ruiz was the winner in the last Vans 66!!

He comes with his wife.They are usual customers and authentic lunatics of Vans but..

they have in the family another even bigger vans fan!! Unfortunately he was not in Spain when

She's 12 years old, and she had to make an homework about any brand for her high

of our DMs.

Obviously this first time meeting was only a way to know

video-calls and years of covid restrictions, and what to

Rossana is a great manager, open to listening and to

give many advices, a person who seems to have

I’m Mattia, I’m 28 years old, I’m a photographer and a filmmaker, and

16 years ago I met Vans.

I bought my first Black Slip-On with white fish bones when I was 13, and since then I

have not worn another type of shoe other than Vans.

Today I count more than 50 pairs in my collection (some unfortunately I have not

been able to keep it in the past) and certainly, I’m not going to stop!!!
