Hello and welcome to Tadley Calleva players, committee and supporters for this
afternoon’s Combined Counties Premier North fixture.
What a night it was on Tuesday! Thank you for your amazing support and for creating an
incredible atmosphere whilst breaking our club record attendance. 1267, wow! It was the
most memorable game in football that I have been involved and it was a very special to see
the Racecourse Ground full of so many Ascot United youth team players, parents and
coaches. It was a night for our club to showcase who we are and what we do but also
highlight how good non-league football is!
Thank you to all our volunteers who had worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the
evening go as well and as smoothly as it went. It’s great credit to them and I am delighted
we could repay their efforts on the pitch.
The players worked so hard and were outstanding. Winning on penalties against an EFL
club Wycombe Wanderers, and the pitch invasion that followed, is something the players
will not forget anytime soon! I am delighted that they will have the opportunity to compete
in a final, our third in three years, against another EFL club in Reading or MK Dons so we
hope we can get your support leading up to and at the final!
Back to today and we will be looking to use this energy to keep performing well and get our
first league win after a couple losses and draws.
Enjoy the game! Jamie
