SPRING TERM 2022
Spanish
In Spanish, we have been learning
conversational skills including how to talk
about what we do in school and our free time.
We have also learnt about different sports,
hobbies and lessons. We have also been
writing paragraphs about the subjects we do
throughout the day and whether we like them
and why. We have written about the members
of our family and what they do. We have
written about clubs and sports that we take
part in as Co-Curricular activities, when we do
them and what we enjoy about them. We have
really enjoyed this and have learnt a lot.
Mandarin
Mandarin lessons over the past term have been
very fun and intriguing. Although quite a difficult
language, we improved rapidly over the course of
the term. We learnt things from basic numbers
all the way to being able to introduce ourselves
and our family both out loud and on paper. By
far the most interesting thing we did in Mandarin
was our calligraphy – we did this in the first week
of February. Due to the fact it was Chinese New
Year, the year of the tiger, we learnt calligraphy,
writing either ‘tiger’ or ‘luck’ in Mandarin.
Mandarin has been a great experience and I
would like to thank Shen Lao Shi for teaching us.
