A warm welcome to the Racecourse for tonight‘s Combined Counties Premier
League game - and a special welcome to everybody from Hanworth Villa. I first
need to say a huge congratulations to our opposition for their performances
this season and their fully deserved promotion. The fact that they have gone
this far in the season undefeated is phenomenal but it’s a record that
obviously I hope comes to an end this evening. Well done though and good
luck for next season at Step 4.
Talking of congratulations there have been some further fantastic results
from Ascot United teams in the last week. Our U15 Girls managed by Mick
Parker have won their league and remain unbeaten, and our U16 Girls
managed by Stuart Connor have also won the league without being defeated.
And our Allied Counties team managed by Josh Nice have also secured that
title for the first time, with a victory in the final league game of the season
clinching the title. Many congratulations to all involved.
Even though the season is soon to be coming to an end, the club continues to
operate throughout the summer with many teams choosing to continue their
training schedule and the clubhouse in frequent use. The club is available to
hire so please get in contact if you have any events planned– we are also
looking to increase our staff numbers over the summer so if you know of
anybody looking for work please ask them to get in touch particularly bar and
cafe staff.
Several people have asked if we know the venue or date for our Senior County
Cup Final yet – and just as we published this program we learnt it has been set
for Saturday 7th May at Slough Town's Arbour Park (3pm). Keep an eye open for
details on our social media channels.
