<strong>St</strong>ory of the Season 2021/22<br />
<strong>St</strong> Michael’s<br />
college<br />
The JCT preparation for the<br />
season began in April of last<br />
year with gym and training<br />
sessions.<br />
Training soon paused for two<br />
months due to summer but picked<br />
up again in August with the<br />
annual summer camp.<br />
<strong>St</strong> Michael’s JCT season kicked off in<br />
September with wins against Bandon,<br />
Newbridge and future cup opponents<br />
Terenure.<br />
Their first loss of the season came against<br />
Clongowes with a score of 20-19 due to<br />
a late try. The team soon beat Ennis from<br />
Clare but also suffered their second loss<br />
of the season to CBC Cork in Cork.<br />
Michael’s then went on a seven-game<br />
winning streak going into Christmas<br />
beating teams such as PBC Cork,<br />
Blackrock and <strong>St</strong> Mary’s by relatively<br />
large margins.<br />
Following Christmas, they beat Munchins<br />
from Limerick by five decisive points but<br />
soon had suffered their third loss of the<br />
year to CBC Cork at home.<br />
Michael’s then beat Castletroy in Limerick<br />
and a month later played fellow finalists<br />
