Some More', author Bud Legg, relates his professional journey
that started in Anita, Iowa. It reveals how he parlayed his small
school educational experiences and participation in activities
into a career in education and service to others in Iowa and
nationally ob several committees. He had teaching/coaching
and administrative stops in Iowa at Oakland, South Hamilton
(Jewel), and Ames. The book provides an inside glimpse of a
single parent of five. He mixes stories of his family, educational
opportunities, and employment with the joys of growing up and
episodes from a 35-year career in teaching, coaching,
counseling, and school administration. Included is his 17-years
of service to Iowa schools as the first Information Director and
Historian of the Iowa High School Athletic Association. The job
led to his presence on national committees. Additionally, he
served Iowa schools as a football and softball official, a many
boys and girls State Tournaments. He also helped with radio,
television and print media coverage at those events. Also
included is an overview of Iowa's four unique organizations
that administer student activities and his perspective of the
future challenges awaiting them. By sharing his philosophy on
education and coaching, the reader can learn and become
inspired to reach their own goals in charting their career paths.
