In Figure 9, <strong>MPLS</strong> extends across the aggregation <strong>and</strong> access networks. The Access Node is <strong>MPLS</strong>aware,<br />

act<strong>in</strong>g as an S-PE device. The MS-PW segments are switched at the S-PE device.<br />

Note: <strong>in</strong> the case of scenarios (e) <strong>and</strong> (f) (figures 8 <strong>and</strong> 9 respectively), an implicit null LSP label may<br />

optionally be used for the MS-PW segment between directly-connected equipment across the access<br />

network, i.e. for the segment between the CSG <strong>and</strong> IP/<strong>MPLS</strong> Router (Edge Node) <strong>in</strong> scenario e, or for the<br />

segment between the CSG <strong>and</strong> Access Node <strong>in</strong> scenario f.<br />
