Time and tide waits for none, you were a witness to many joyful
moments, of deep sorrow and many mourn. Fate was unkind,
snatching away your loved ones - parents and in-laws one by one.
With the members shrinking, married and gone, you saw them leave
like birds flying out into their own nests happily.
You played your part sincerely as an affectionate daughter, dutiful
daughter-in-law, a devoted wife, a loving mother well appreciated for
your warm hospitality.

We love the glee on your face as you make those sumptuous foods for us
all and divine feasts offered for the Gods. With Appa by your side, you
both were indeed such a pillar to the family, fighting all odds, yet you
never lost your sense of humour when you spot a soul and proverbs and
similes coming in most aptly.

Kaadhu Vacha Kachetti!

Happy Birthday Dear Shanta
It’s more than 10 years since we have met. It is nice to know that you are
reaching 80th successful year of your life. I can’t forget the days when you
were in AB 50. Now I think only Shalu is at Anna Nagar.
Of all your nice characters, the one which I can’t forget is this: If some
guests come to our house, we should not ask them “Enna Saptringae”, that
is, ‘What do you eat?’ We should give them what is available in our house.
It may be anything but you should not ask them what they will eat.
I learnt this from you; but I will ask with sugar or without sugar to the
senior citizens like us.
Though there are so many changes in our life, we are still remembering
the sweet thoughts of young age. I feel happy to know about
your Birthday through Gouthami.
