Ed Matthews<br />

Managing Partner<br />

As the Managing Partner, Mr. Matthews has responsibility for<br />

identifying, structuring and overseeing all multi-family investments<br />

from underwriting through asset management and disposition.<br />

Mr. Matthews has over twenty years of extensive �nancial<br />

services-related professional experience including chief �nancial<br />

o�cer, controller, commercial & construction lending and<br />

credit administration.<br />

Prior to joining <strong>Titan</strong>, Mr. Matthews served as Executive Vice President and Chief<br />

Financial O�cer of The South Financial <strong>Group</strong>, a $10 billion multi-bank holding<br />

company headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, parent company to Carolina<br />

First Bank, South Carolina's largest independent commercial bank. He held the<br />

same position at Trans Financial, Inc., a $2.5 billion multi-bank holding company<br />

located in Kentucky, from 1994 until 1998. In these positions, he oversaw the due<br />

diligence on numerous acquisitions, had responsibilities for portfolio asset management,<br />

tax planning, SEC �lings and regulatory compliance.<br />

Mr. Matthews began his career with First Union in 1983 after receiving a Bachelor's<br />

Degree in Accounting from Wake Forest University.<br />
