Ed Matthews
Managing Partner
As the Managing Partner, Mr. Matthews has responsibility for
identifying, structuring and overseeing all multi-family investments
from underwriting through asset management and disposition.
Mr. Matthews has over twenty years of extensive �nancial
services-related professional experience including chief �nancial
o�cer, controller, commercial & construction lending and
credit administration.
Prior to joining Titan, Mr. Matthews served as Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial O�cer of The South Financial Group, a $10 billion multi-bank holding
company headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, parent company to Carolina
First Bank, South Carolina's largest independent commercial bank. He held the
same position at Trans Financial, Inc., a $2.5 billion multi-bank holding company
located in Kentucky, from 1994 until 1998. In these positions, he oversaw the due
diligence on numerous acquisitions, had responsibilities for portfolio asset management,
tax planning, SEC �lings and regulatory compliance.
Mr. Matthews began his career with First Union in 1983 after receiving a Bachelor's
Degree in Accounting from Wake Forest University.
