In the early 1980s, A&K was the first travel company to secure an operat<strong>in</strong>g licence<br />

to take guests <strong>in</strong>to Egypt. Follow<strong>in</strong>g the orig<strong>in</strong>al Death on the Nile, Geoffrey Kent<br />

had the vision to purchase the paddle steamer used <strong>in</strong> the film. This led to a fleet of<br />

Sanctuary Sun Boats which set the standard for luxury cruises down the mighty Nile.<br />
