Food While Climbing

Nutrition is unique to each person, but following these rules will get you on the right track. Choose

calorie-dense foods with plenty of protein and healthy fats (less sugar), but don’t forget about your

favourite chocolates, chocolate bars, and energy snacks.

In general, the food you consume on the mountain should be high in carbs and easy to digest so that

it is taken immediately into the bloodstream and keeps your muscles functioning.

rice/pasta/quinoa salads (more substantial for lunch perhaps)

First Aid During Climbing

Minor and serious accidents happen during peak climbing. But, in that case, First Aid was used. So,

here are some first aid tips:

Gauze pads or rolls/Sterile dressings.

Medical tape/Duct tape.

Moleskin.

Adhesive bandages.

Butterfly bandages.

Triangular bandages.

Disinfecting ointment/Neosporin.

Over-the-counter pain medication /Ibuprofen.
