The definition of backlash is a sudden violent backward movement or reaction. I wanted to create a piece about<br />
reaction and how some actions...have consequences. I use a melody that is both whimsical and rather wild with<br />
harmonies that are harsh and brash to create an environment of adventure and chaos. The piece uses different<br />
colors and combinations of instruments to display a wide variety of explosive emotions. From start to finish this<br />
piece has a chaotic energy that resolves to an energetic finale.<br />
