With a big storm and heavy overnight rain, the organisers were really
concerned about the race being cancelled had there been any additional
rain. Fortunately the rain stayed away and after a quick Jury meeting
racing was a “GO!”.
With around 170 entries and full gates in most classes including 19 ladies
riders the day was off to a muddy start. The MX1 and MX2 classes
were sent out first to clear the track and create some racing lines.
Heat 1 started at 10am and according to schedule the 50cc classes
went out first with some interesting results under the European type
conditions. The wash bays were crowded, taking a bit of strain but
coped well nonetheless.
The ladies class was an exciting race with many of the ladies never
having experienced the muddy conditions.
Racing concluded at 15H50 and what a great day of racing for all.
The next event on the calendar is Round 2 of the Inland National will be
hosted by Wetherd MX Park in Pe on Saturday the 30th of April 2022.
