“Give them love, affection and you will have a friend for life”. Some people consider
that pets bring energy and happiness to life. Pets should be treated as a family
member. Nowadays, there are laws that support the life of them, which create
awareness when adopting or owning an animal. Still, many people are not able to
support themselves and take the risk of adopting one. In order to have a pet, people
must know the advantages and disadvantages, taking into account that this entails
a great responsibility.
Among the main advantages of having a pet is that it brings company to the family,
and with the passing of time it is already a member and can become even a best
friend, regardless of the type of pet or its size, as each of them has different skills
and are able to adapt to their master and the environment, for example, there are
the Golden dogs, whose ability is to guide blind people and help the disabled, on the
other hand there are pets whose ability is security and tracking and the rottweilers is
a clear example. But it is also worth mentioning that we can have not only dogs as
pets but also rabbits, turtles, cats, parakeets, snakes or reptiles in general. Always
taking into account the respective care, as well as their feeding.
In spite of how nice it is to have a pet, there are also disadvantages which are an
impediment to have one, due to the care they must have. One of the disadvantages
that most affect people at the time of having a pet is that it brings with it expenses
and time absorption. Because nowadays, having an animal means that people must
organize in a corresponding way with relatives or other close people so that they can
take care of it while the owner is out of the home due to his daily work or personal
matters and thus avoid that it feels trapped in solitude and be able to take care of
them as they should, since they must be in control with the veterinarian, be aware of
their vaccinations, vitamins and their feeding on time, which means that they must
be economically stable.

When considering having a pet at home, the first thing to consider is whether the
person is really capable of taking care of them perfectly. Having an animal at home
entails a lot of responsibility because you have to walk the dog, feed your pet, take
care of its hygiene, maintain a suitable environment for the pet, etc. So in addition to
your capacity, you will also have to assess your family's capacity for responsibility.
Moreover, you will also have to evaluate what type of pet is the best match for your
life. It is not the same to have a cat than a dog, or to have a reptile, a rodent or a
fish. In the case you want to have a dog, you will have to evaluate what type of breed
is the one that best suits your environment. But nevertheless a pet in the family in
spite of the responsibility this one offers to protect and to love unconditionally to the
family.
In conclusion, having a pet brings company and happiness at home and this helps
to create a very special bond, as well as the fact of creating and sharing moments
full of happiness with them. There is a diversity of pets that you can adopt, but
