Bharat Vikas Parishad is a non political, sociocultural 

service organisation of the elite among 

the citizens. There are other social organisations 

of the elite also functioning like the Rotary and 

the Lions. A member of the 

Rotary Club cannot become 

a member of the Lions and 

vice versa, but no such restriction 

applies to the membership 

of Bharat Vikas 

Parishad, because it is basically 

different from the other 

socio-cultural clubs. Primarily, 

Bharat Vikas Parishad is 

not a 'Club'. It is a 'Council' 

of the elite, intellectuals and 

well to do, who have dedicated 

themselves to the 

service of the poor, disabled, illiterate and the ignorant 

by gradually developing in them a sense 

of responsibility and self confidence which is really 

the concept of our service to the needy. 

The Rotary and other international organisations 

were born outside India and they generally 

draw inspiration from sources which are alien. 

They carry a deep stamp of an alien culture, 

which has also affected their thinking and activities. 

The ultimate control of those organisations 

lies in the hands of people outside India. A big 

proportion of the funds raised by these organisations 

goes to foreign lands and is spent at the 

discretion of the foreigners. A very small proportion 

of these funds is available for the benefit of 

people in this country. Outwardly, these clubs 

have adoped the local and national garb, local 

languages are used and the National Anthem is

gives an excellent exposition of the 

Parishad vis a vis other socio-cultural 

organisations like the Rotary 

and the Lions and contains some 

valuable guidelines for members and 

office-bearers of Parishad. In this 

issue we give the English version of 

the same for the benefit of our non- 

Hindi speaking brothren. 

also sung, yet a feeling of cultural inferiority and 

subjugation to the tinsel world of the West persists 

and is discernible all along. On the contrary, 

Bharat Vikas Parishad is wholly and totally 

an indigenous organisa- 

tion, which is intensely nationalistic 

in outlook. It was 

conceived and born in India 

and it draws inspiration from 

Indian culture and Indian 

values, for the protection 

and propagation of which it 

has been established. 

In Bharat Vikas Parishad 

women have a significant 

role to play. It is fully conscious 

of its responsibility for 

the comprehensive and multifaced 

development of the society. This cannot 

be achieved unless it is able to carry along with 

it the women force of India, who constitute half of 

our population. Therefore, women enjoy equal 

status and eligibility for membership in our consitution. 

In fact, membership is granted not to 

an individual male or female but jointly to the 

couple. 

The main distinction, however, lies in our 

ideals, our philosophy, aims, objectives, activities 

and finally in our way of thinking. The aim of 

the clubs is essentially social get together and 

eating and entertainment are naturally integral to 

it. The Parishad also appreciates the importance 

of fellowship, without which contact (Sampark) 

and cooperation (Sahyog) are not possible. But 

fellowhip in the Parishad is only a means to an 

end and not the end itself. Therefore, only so

much stress need be laid on fellowship as may 

be necessary to reach out, create contacts and 

secure cooperation. 

Social service is the aim of both the Parishad 

and the clubs, but the definition of 'Service' is different. 

Service in Bharat Vikas Parishad denotes 

working for the total development of the country, 

protection of the national culture and heritage, 

revival and propagation of our cultural and moral 

values and national reconstruction in the light of 

these values. Naturally, the Parishad should take 

up such programmes which are likely to have a 

deep impact on society and country and for the 

success of its programmes the very mentality of 

our people needs to be changed. Every programme 

of the Parishad should aim at bringing 

about a change in the thinking of people and in 

this respect it is an idealistic missionary organisation, 

whose mission needs to be understood 

properly. Compared to it the social service rendered 

by the clubs is merely a cosmetic affair 

which has no deep impact on society. Such superficial 

service may give a feeling of self-satisfaction 

to those who are enabled to spend a 

fraction of their immense wealth in the name of 

public services, but their real objective is self 

publicity and self promotion. Hardly a small fraction 

of the money spent in the name of social 

service in the clubs reaches the needy who are 

supposed to be benefitted. There is more publicity 

than service. 

More service than publicity is the watchword 

of Bharat Vikas Parishad. Publicity of 

Parishad's activities is necessary, but it has to 

be watched that self publicity is not carried on in

the the guise of Parishad's publicity. The path 

the Parishad has undertaken to creat is hard to 

follow. It requires tremendous discipline, selfcontrol 

and sacrifice, as well as the development 

of a missionary spirit, which alone can bring 

about a change in the people's thinking and revive 

their 'sanskars' and their faith in the ancient 

values of our motherland. We have to mould 

ourselves, our ideas and actions so that we are 

able to rise above narrow mindedness and work 

devotedly for the unity, integrity and freedom of 

our country, and ethical values broadmindedness 

and liberalism are predominant in everything 

we do. Constant awareness of the ideals, 

aim and objects alone can gaurantee the success 

of our mission. 

If our urge for public service is so easily satisfied 

by cheap and superficial service, the very 

purpose of Bharat Vikas Parishad will be defeated 

and it will not be any different from the 

Lions and Rotary. It was never the intention of 

the founders of the Parishad to make it a carbon 

copy of these clubs. To justify its existence, the 

Parishad has avenues of genuine service which 

normally are not available to members of these 

clubs. It is because of the special avenues of 

service which the Parishad offers that a large 

number of Rotarians and Lions of high standing 

in their respective clubs have been attracted to 

the Parishad. It is our duty to see that they are 

not disappointed and they are able to find what 

they have come to seek. Bharat Vikas 

Parishad should not be allowed to degenerate 

into an ordinary club and its identity and 

purity should be preserved at any cost.

Ltd. donated an AMBULANCE for the residents of 

Manimajra, Panchkula & Chandigarh. This ambu-

Blindness control organization, Mahaveera eye 

hospital (project ‘vision’) Sheshadripuram, Bangalore 

in coordination with Bharat Vikas Parishad, 

Valmiki Branch, Ramanagar conducted 68th Free 


Eye Camp presided over by Rao. Sh. Basavaraju 

and inagurated by Mr. B.K. Krishnamurthy. In the 

speach the President expressed that all the citizens 

have to co-operate to better serve the nation. 

This year we have to distribute more notebooks to 

poor students. 

Dr. Vijayanarasimha of Dist. health centre. Ramanagaram 

expressed that BVP is doing an excellent 

job. Chief guest Dr. Harsha told that 

Mahaveer eye hospital is ready to serve and we 

are able to control the blindness. One of the native 

student of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Chandan 

Prasad is now able to work with 44 nation's world 

mechanical competition as Rocket Pilot. He has 

done the same and have to bring good name to 

Ramanagara and have to encourage students of 

our district. M.C. Rangaswamy and Boralingaiab 

were the guests. Anchoring was done by Treasurer 

Mr. Kengal Hanumanthai. B.K. Krishnamurthy 

helped to arrange this camp. Vote of thanks was 

delivered by Mr. K.H. Chandrashekhar. 

99 People were benefitted. Among them 30 people 

were selected for operation. This camp was

Gurdaspur, Punjab (North) : A Dental Chekup 

Camp was organised under health care in Govt. 

Normal Primary School. A team of 2 doctors attended 

the camp and checked about 100 students. 

Free paste and tooth brush were given to students. 

About 10 memebers attended the camp. 

Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch organised 

Viklang Sahayata Sivir on 01.04.2010 at station 

club B. T. P. S. The programme was formally inagurated 

by the patron cum Dy Chief Engr Er P. L. 

Saha. He was assisted by ZOC Er G. P. Singh, 

Pres. Sri Suman Kumar, Er A. P. Singh and BHEL 

DGM Er S. K. Sinha. A team of 5 persons from 

Delhi Vikas Foundation led by Sri R. S. Rathore 

conducted the test of 116 physically handicapped 

persons. Altogether 75 persons were selected for 

artificial limbs etc. 13 persons were provided hearing 

aids the same day. On 03.04.2010 artificial 

limbs were distributed by the Chief Patron cum 

Chief Engr and Project head DVC BTPS Er J. K. 

Singh. In all 75 Viklangs were provided 93 appliances 

including 2 Wheel Chairs, 2 Tricycles, 23 

hearing aids, 24 scrutches, 18 calipers, 4 legs, 11 

ortho shoes, 2 hand gloves and 1 stick. Others who 

spoke on the occasion were Er Deepak Kumar and 

Er Rajeev Ranjan, Prantiya Gen Secy Er P. K. Ambastha.

Personality Development Camp 

Dharwad Shakha conducted a Personality Development 

Camp under the Dynamic Leadership of 

Sri Jagdeesh Maligi, Karnatak Uttar Prant General 

Secretary for Ten days from 11th to 20.04.10. This 

was a residential camp for 70 boys and girls between 

the age of 10-16 years. The venue of the 

camp was outskirts of Dharwad city, in the Agriculture 

Officers Training Centre, which is situated in a 

beautiful green environment with plush green surroundings, 

Eco-friendly isolated place. 

The daily activities at the camp used to start at 

5.30A.M. with Prayer, Pranayam, Yoga etc. The 

lectures on Ramayana, Mahabharat were also 

arranged by eminent speakers. Experts trained 

camp students in Rope activities - Mallakamba, 

Skipping by girls etc. The camp ended with good 

and appreciable words from general public and 

parents of campers. There were about 700 public 

and BVP members. 

An exhibition of things learnt and prepared by 

the campers was arranged as a Camp Day on 

18.04.10 wherein the dignatories of Dharwad 

were invited and the Karnataka Govt. Commissioner 

for Public Instructions (Education) Sh. 

Venkatesh Machaknur was the Chief Guest, Sh. 

B.V. Bhat Dy. Director of Education and Smt. Shabana 

Shaikh, Deputy Director of Agriculture were 

Guests of Honour. The Dharwad Shakha President

Bhubaneswar, North Odissa : The branch celebrated 

its 12th foundation day on 16th March, 2010 

commemorating with Hindu Navvarsh day. The 

evening was most pleasant and jubilant by listening 

to the Chief Guest Sri Ajit Kumar Tripathy, I.A.S. 

(retired Chief Secretary) the Chief Election Commissioner 

of Orissa. Sri Mangala Prasad Mohanty, 

Hony Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, 

Odissa Branch being guest of honour lauded his 

past connection with Bharat Vikas Parishad when 

he was posted at P.Ms. Office at New Delhi. Smt. 

Premalata Devi presided over the function. The 

souvenir "Swabhiman" was released by the guests. 

Smt. Harapriya Pattanaik a member of the 

Branch and presently working as Headmistress in 

Govt. Girls High School, Unit IX, Bhubaneswar was 

honoured for her distinguished work in child literature 

by Padmashree Smt. Prativa Roy, an eminent 

novelist of the state on behalf of childrens' magazine 

"Saradsashi". 

Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch celebrated 

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Jayanti on 14.04.10 at 

DVC ME SCHOOL Bokaro Thermal. The programme 

was inagurated by the ZOS Er. G.P. 

Singh. He was assisted by Gen Secy Er. P.K. Ambastha 

and Vice Presidents Er. Anil Kumar and Er. 

A.P. Singh. The speaker described at length the 

contributions of Baba Sahib and the main purpose 

of the Institute for poor and meritorious students. 

The welcome address was delivered by Er. Rajeev 

Ranjan and a vote of thanks was proposed by Er. 

Amrit Lal. The manch sanchalan was performed by 

Er. Deepak Kumar. The dignitories present were

GK-I, Delhi South : The Branch organized a Vishal 

Rastriya Kavi Sammelan on 11.04.10 at 'R' Block 

Central Park, G.K.-1, in celebration of Baisakhi and 

Nav Vikrami Samwat 2067. 13 well known Kavis 

participated and regaled the audiance of over 300 

guests, including Smt. Shashi Azad, General Secretary 

and other adhikaris and members of B.V.P., 

with their well-composed Kavitas on Rasthtriya 

Ekta. One of the oldest B.V.P's Founder Member. 

Sh. Prakash Chandra of about 89 years of age too 

attended it in his wheel chair. The function was 

graced, as Chief Guest by Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, 

Hon'ble Opposition Leader in Delhi's Vidhan 

Sabha and presided over by Sh. O.P. Sharda, 

Hon'ble Area Councillor. The anchoring was done 

by TV artist Dr. Rekha Vyas and Sh. Vijay Gupt, a 

known Ashu poet and Sr. Vice President of B.V.P., 

in their typical poetical way. Sh. V.P. Agarwal, president 

of the Branch described in brief B.V.P.'s aim 

and objective. In the key note address Prof. Malhotra 

recalled his old intimate acquaintance with 

B.V.P.'s Founder Dr. Suraj Prakash. Other ad-

Yatra, organized by "Dharmik Samajik Sangh" on

well. Sh. S.P. Bhatia expressed his heartfelt thanks

Tukaram, Director Central Branch. In the zonal 

conference Sh. Ch. S.S. Ramachandra Rao was 

awarded as a best Secretary in the zone and Sri 

Vemparala Narasimha Murty secured BEST NITI 

REPORTER award for the year 2009-10. 

28.03.10 :A new rural branch was inaugurated 

by Ch. S.S. Ramachandra Rao, State General 

Secretary, in which Sri S.Pydisetty, Vice-President 

presided over the meeting. Sri P.S.T. Patnaik (Secretary, 

Mandal Vikalanga Kendram, Atchutapuram) 

President of the newly opened branch and other 

office bearers (15 members) took oath and the 

above mentioned caremony was performed by Sri 

Ch. S.S. Ramachandra Rao, State General Secretary. 

In its installation function held on 16.04.10 

Sreedharala Seetharatnam took oath as President. 

On the same day the branch gave caps to venders 

and rikshaw pullers, water filter and books to 

Viklang School Children. Also issued a cheque 


worth Rs. 1000/- to the Viklang School Children. 

Three members promissed to give 5000/-, 1000/each 

to the vikalang school children on their Birthday 

through out their life. 

Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana, Punjab North : Branch 

celebrated Nav-Samvastar-2067 (Indian New Year) 

on 14.03.10 at Viklang Sahayata Kendra Rishi 

Nagar Ludhiana. On the ocassion., five kundiya 

Havan - Yagya was performed. The yagya was 

conducted by Sh. Roshan Lal Arya. The yagya was 

followed by a function, which was presided over by 

Sh. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Prantiya Convenor, 

Health Care. On this ocassion prizes for literacy 

drive were given by the Chief Guest, Sh. A.C. 

Rana, Comptroller, PAU Ludhiana. Under this programme, 

children of Shaiwal High School, Panjpeer 

Road Ludhiana are teaching their parents. 

The parents are given a specific syllabus every semester 

and at the end of the semester, a test is 

given to them. This time 22 parents took this test. 

Out of them, Smt. Seema and Smt. Suman won 1st 

and 2nd prizes. They were taught by their children 

Vishal Kondal (IV) and Akhil (IV) respectively, who 

have been rewarded with books for the academic 

session 2010-11. To promote the studies of girl students, 

31 girls were provided school uniforms (two 

sets each). Sh. Ravinder Mittal, President welcomed 

the members and guests and Smt. Neelam 

Thapar, Secretary presented vote of thanks.

Vidyaranaya, Bangalore, Karnataka : In a glittering 

ceremony in the Bangalore palace grounds on 

27th February 2010, Smt. Vatsala Prabhu, Vice 

President received the prestigious 'Namma Bengaluru' 

award at the hands of the Honourable Governor 

of Karnataka Sh. H.R. Bhardwaj and 

Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka Sh. B.S. 

Yediurappa. The award committee headed by a 

member of Rajya Sabha Sh. Rajiv Chandrasekhar 

with dignitaries like Justice Rama Jois and 

Lokayuktha Sh. Santosh Hegde among others as 

members, examined as many as 4000 applications 

proposed by citizens and shortlisted 28 persons of 

whom 14 (including Smt. Vatsala Prabhu) were finally 

selected for the award. Smt. Prabhu an entrepreneur 

herself, has deeply involved herself in 

seva activities in the field of underprivilged 

women's education and employment, training and 

rehabilitation of mentally challenged children, environmental 

awareness, revival of interest and 

pride in all round development of Kannada etc. besides 

being actively associated with the day to day 

affairs of BVP in the capacity of Vice President of 

Shakha. 

B-Block Janakpuri, Delhi South : Organized 

Samuhak Saral Vivah of ten eligible couples in a 

very impressive manner, strictly as per BVP guidelines 

on 13.04.2010, the Baisakhi day by spending 

about Rs. two and half lakhs. The attendance of 

about 300 relatives of ten couples, various senior 

functionaries of BVP, S/Sh. R.K. Thakur, M.L. Gaur 

and R.N. Chowdhary, distinguished residents of 

Janak Puri including all the three Municipal Councillors 

representing different parts of Janakpuri, 

namely Sh. Prithviraj Sahni, Sh. Shyam Sharma 

and Smt. Promila Ghai and large number of members 

of the Branch made it a very impressive function. 

The performance of various rituals of marriage 

by organizing Var Malas, ten separate VEDIS etc. 

was very impressive and well appreciated. A 

sumptuous lunch was served to all the relatives of 

ten couples and others who graced the occasion. 

As required under the norms of BVP, all the essential 

items to start the new household such as 

double bed, Steel almirahs, Utensils and clothes 

etc. were gifted to each couple for which members 

of branch and other distinguished residents contributed 

liberally. 

Belgaum, Karnataka Uttar : Dayeetwa Grahana 

Samarambha of Belgaum Shakha was organized 

on 4th April, 2010 at Gymkhana Hall of Gogte College 

of Commerce to hand over the dayeetwa of 

the Shakha to the newly elected team. Bharat 

Vikas Parishad was introduced to the gathering by 

the Vice President Smt. Sukhad Deshpande. Sh. 

V.R. Gudi introduced the Chief Guest Sh. Avinash 

Potdar, a leading businessman. Smt. Ghodekar introduced 

the Guest of honor Sh. Jagadeesh Kunte, 

a well known cartoonsit while Sh. Pandurang 

Nayak introduced the Prant Secretary Sh. Jagadeesh 

Maligi. President Sh. Kumar Patil presented 

the flowers to the guests. The new team - 

President Sh. Anand Kulkarni, Secretary Sh. Namaji 

Deshpande & the Treasurer Sh. Pradeep 

Kulkarni were given the BVP oath by the Zonal 

Chariman Prin. V.N. Joshi, who also presided over 

the function. Sh. Anand Kulkarni, the new President, 

while accepting his dayeetwa, assured that, 

all the projects of the Parishad will be well organized 

in his tenure. He also announced the names of 

his executive committee and presented them the 

flowers as a mark of welcome. Later, the outgoing 

team was felicitated by the new office bearers as a 

mark of gratitude and congratulations for their successful 

tenure. 

On this occasion, 20 new members were introduced, 

welcomed and inducted by the President 

Sh. Anand Kulkarni. The Prant secretary Sh. Jagadish 

Maligi gave them the oath of BVP membership.

Avinash Potdar wished the new team all the best in 

their tenure and expressed their appreciation of the

were presented to the invitees and Prin. V.N. 

Joshi addressed the gathering with his presidential 

remarks. 

Gulbarga, Karnataka Uttar : Gulbarga in Karnataka 

State is the hottest place in the state. As 

part of our social activities, we had arranged free 

cap distribution for the use of Cooking Gas Cylinders 

distribution boys, who will be moving on bicycles 

loaded with heavy gas cylinders. Apart from 

the Gas Dealers a high ranking Indian oil company 

officer also attended the programme. 

Shakti (Durgapur) West Bangal : Branch, celebrated 

Bangla New Year, 1417 on 15.04.2010 at 

Station Club, DTPS, Durgapur. A cultural programme 

was also organized attended by more 

than 100 persons along with their family members. 

Daitava Grahan Samaroh (Pledge Taking) was 

also organized on the same day & the pledge for 

the same was adinstered by Sri. G.P. Singh, Zonal 

Organising Secretary, Zone-II. Monthly Ration 

(Food grains, spices etc) along with Bashtra (sari) 

was distributed to five needy aged widow of nearby 

locality. 

Emotional Farewell to outgoing President P. 

K. Agarwala : The meeting of Prayag Shakha 

became a memorable occasion when, at the 


concluding get-togther of the current session 

(2009-10) the outgoing President Mr. P. K. Agarwala 

was profusely garlanded with warm tributes 

and compliments for the exemplary, dedicated 

services rendered by him and his team for the 

organization during the year gone by. The new 

team led by Mr. Amar Nath Bhargava (President) 

and Shri Srinath Sahay (Secretary) was also accorded 

a warm welcome and loaded with good 

wishes for a successful tenure ahead. The chief 

guest of the evening, Mrs. Champa Srivastava, 

National Secretary Workshop, speaking on the 

ideals of the Parishad, narrated many inspiring 

anecdotes to a cheering audience, reminding 

them of their duty towards their motherland. She 

named some of the greatest personalities who 

have influenced Indian thought, inclucated patriotism, 

taught us how to smilingly embrace death 

for the sake of the motherland and reminded the 

audience about those mother's who had sent 

their sons-even grandsons to the battlefield to 

attain martyrdom, so that India may be free from 

the fetters of foreign rule. In a touching speech, 

outgoing President P. K. Agarwala said that it 

had been a labour of love for him. When he was 

entrusted with this responsibility last year, he 

was 84 already. But the inspiring values and 

ideals of the Parishad had infused him with a 

new energy, a new strength to carry forward the 

torch that was lit many years ago and was 

handed over to him to be carried forward. 

The incoming President, Mr. Amar Nath Bhargawa, 

Senior Advocate of the High Court, said 

he was conscious of the massive responsibility 

that has fallen on his shoulders but was convinced 

that with the cooperation of all members, 

he will be able to follow the footsteps of Mr. P. K. 

Agarwala and succeed in justifying the trust reposed 

in him. Earlier the new office bearers led 

by Mr. A. N. Bhargawa (President) and followed 

by Messers. Chandra Mohan Bhargawa (Vice- 

President), Shrinath Sahai (Secretary) and

Prakash Chandra Darbai (Tresurer) took the 

oath of office. 

Pashchim Cochin : The 246th regular meeting 

of the branch was held on 13th April, 2010 at 

Ram Mandir Hall, Gujarati Road, Kochi-2. It was 

an Installation meeting. Sri Kailash Gupta Installed 

the Team of New Office Bearers in a befitting 

manner. He praised Sri Venkatachalam for 

accepting Presidentship of the Kendra in spite of 

his usual reluctance to accept any Office in the 

Kendra because he was staying too far (beyond 

Pachalam) which took him more than One Hour 

by Car to come to the meetings but as he was interested 

in the family get togehter of the Kendra 

he made it a point to attend all meetings regularly. 

He particularly praised Dr. Savitha Prabhakar 

who did an excellent Job as the Golden 

Jubilee President of the Lions Club of Cochin. 

He praised her oratorial skills and promised the 

members that he will do his best to keep the Flag 

of the Kendra high. Earlier members were entertained 

by Musical Programme by Smt Pallavi, 

Karthik, Vinay & Tejas, on Instruments. Smt Lata 

Venkatachalam also rendered a Hindi Song for 

members. Mementos were presented on behalf 

of the Kendra personally Sri Sanjay Chaggani to 

the Outgoing President Dr. M. C. Prabhakar and 

Installing Officer Sri Kailash Gupta. 

Vishakapatnam, A.P. North-East : Branch conducted 

Ambedkar Jayanti on 14.04.10 at it’s 

adopted slum Area Ramnagar and many members 

and executive members delivered speeches about 

Baba Saheb. 

Koshi-Bihar : Begusarai Branch celebrated 61st 

Republic Day on 26th January 2010. National flag 

was unfurled at our own branch office Sita Shashi 

Niva, Mungeriganj, Begusarai, first time after inception 

of the branch. The town alongwith all office 

bearers, respected members attended the function 

while the branch President hoisted the National 

flag. Light breakfast was served . 

The branch celebrated Paribarik Holi Milan 

Samaroh on the same day at village Badalpura. All 

members of the branch participated with their families. 

The program was organized by Sh. Gajendra 

Pd. Singh, Vice President and Er. Raj Kishore 

Prasad; Secretary of the Branch. More than 200 

members and elite of the village enjoyed the programme. 

The function was inagurated by Patron 

Mr. Shailendra Mohan. Kishori Mishra arranged a 

cultural programme with various classical dances 

and songs presented by small kids and a Kabi 

Sammelan was also arranged which was highly 

appreciated. 

A.P. North & East : On 11.04.10 Sri B.Ch. Subbarao, 

National Vice-President inaugurated a new 

office for the State President at B-4, Bhavani Apartments. 

Anakapalli Sri K.B. Ramarao, Zonal Secretary 

and Satyanarayana, Zonal Convenor 

(sampark) were also present. On the same day the 

installation function of the state office bearers was 

held Smt. Pilla Nirmala as State President, K. Rambaleu 

as State General Secretary and Sri S. Krishna 

Murthy as State Treasurer took oath, Sri 

Garimanadaji Maharaj of Ramakrishna Mission, 

Visakhapatnam and Sriman Rajeli Sri Rama Char 

gula blessed the new office bearers. 

Agartala, Tripura (Assam) : The workshop-cum- 

Annual Conference jointly of Agartala West & East 

Branches was held on 25.04.10 and Sh. Dhirendra 

Kalai presided over the meeting. The chief guest 

Smt. Bina Borah Zonal Organizing Secretary delivered 

her speech regarding the constitution of 

BVP in details i.e. SAMPARK, SAHAJOG, SAN- 

SKAR, SEWA & SAMARPAN and the women 

power that is "MATRI SHAKTI". Prof. Sitanath Dey 

guest of honour delivered his invaluable address 

to the house citing the various examples of VAIDIK 

Culture according to the messages of SWAMY

He concluded his speech by saying that Bharat will 

take up the world leadership within the short span 

of time citing the reactions of the great SWAMY Sri

also spoke on the occasion. 

The General Secretary of Agartala West & East
