spectacular fashion shows.<br />
The ‘HQ Fashion Show’ by Fashion<br />
Supremo - Frances Martirez and the<br />
‘Fashion Heroes Runway’ by seven<br />
remarkable <strong>Filipino</strong>-Kiwi Fashionistas.<br />
The celebrity compere for this segment<br />
was none other than Asia Agcaoili.<br />
FASHIONISTAS ON PARADE<br />
The ‘<strong>Filipino</strong>-Kiwi Fashion Heroes’ is a fashion<br />
parade by fashionistas which was launched at this<br />
year’s awards. Below are the profiles of the models.<br />

the Hero Awards this year<br />
was without doubt a fashion<br />
extravaganza by Frances<br />
Martirez - an awardwinning<br />
fashion supremo.<br />
Over the years she has<br />
worked with some of New<br />
Zealand’s top fashion<br />
designers.<br />
Frances’ stunning traditional<br />
Philippine costumes<br />
were paraded by 15 models<br />
from Auckland, Palmerston<br />
North and Ashburton.<br />

Gloria, 53, originally from<br />
Pangasinan, works in the<br />
healthcare sector in Auckland.<br />
She is a pageant winner.<br />

expressing myself and it<br />
always gives me confidence<br />
once I find the perfect<br />
combination of clothing.<br />
If you look good, then<br />
you will feel comfortable<br />
and feel good both inside<br />
and out.”<br />
RICHIE BORJA:<br />
Richie is from Rotorua.<br />
She is an in demand model<br />
and an influencer. She<br />
loves clothes, fitness training<br />
and the outdoors.<br />
NILDA BROWN:<br />
Nilda is the current<br />
Madam World NZ and a<br />
fitness instructor. She<br />
donated the bouquets for<br />
the Hero Awards.<br />

filipiniana dress and it<br />
was made by Jannette<br />
Halbach.<br />

NA:<br />
Shay is a member of the<br />
Igorot NZ group. She loves<br />
modelling Cordillerean<br />
fashion attire.<br />
NICOLE DIONNE:<br />
Nicole was a former<br />
contestant in the Maginoo<br />
at Binibining contest<br />
organised by <strong>Filipino</strong><br />
<strong>News</strong>. She is a mother and<br />
runs a successful online<br />
fashion store.
