From early December to late April, Lech Zürs meets

Head for the heights with heli-skiing with our
partner Arlberg Alpin. The outdoor experts offer an
unforgettable skiing holiday. Depending on snow
conditions and your technical skills, your guide
decides whether the 2,652 m high Mehlsack or the
Schneetäli with 2,450 m will be approached.
Good to know: Heli-skiing at the Arlberg is unique
in Austria!

The Golden Moments Card has lots of specials
in store, more particularly for day trippers.
Members receive the half-day ticket from 11
am and queuing at the lift ticket office is no
longer necessary. For every 10 day-ski passes
purchased in a season, members receive a
free day pass for the next season and a free
day pass on the last day of the season.
The highlight: on Golden Moments Day,
the ski area opens its doors exclusively for
club members.

The fact that we at the “Post” not only focus on
culinary arts, but also on pairing with exclusive
wines is no longer a secret. On the contrary – 18
times in a row the “Post” was presented by the
renowned wine magazine “Wine Spectator” with
an award for its outstanding wine list – that speaks
40 years Sommelier Club
It was a snowy day in January 1982 when the
wine lovers Adi Werner of the Hospiz in St
Christoph, Inge Jochum from the Lörunser
in Zürs and Franz Moosbrugger from the
“Post” in Lech took the momentous decision
to found the first Austrian Sommelier Club.
The love of fine and exquisite wines gave
birth to this Association. Innkeepers and
sommeliers are to put the wine list together
jointly and ensure that only wines which are
in good condition and maturity are served to
the guests.

The “Post” wine cellar, which incidentally
contains around 14,000 bottles, is widely known
and is above all among wine connoisseurs a
treasure trove for one or the other sought-after
rarity.
Schloss Gobelsburg
THE FAMILY WINE ESTATE
Schloss Gobelsburg is the oldest wine estate in
the Danube region of Kamptal and can look back
on a documented winemaking history dating
back to the 12 th century.
Florian Moosbrugger has inherited this
philosophy from his father and continues to
uphold it today. All the wines are only placed
on the menu after thorough tasting and a
favourable judgement.
A few years have passed since the foundation,
and we are very proud that the “Post” has
very active sommeliers with a wealth of
experience. It is their express desire to
advise you and support you in your choice.
Our rarities and vintages have already been
maturing for several years in the cellar, lying
in optimal climatic conditions.

“Did you know that…?”
… in the summer of 2005 some bottles lost their
labels in the floods? As a result, a wine raffle was
held in the “Post” with a predetermined price.
Only the cork revealed to the buyer the bargain

In 2021 Schloss Gobelsburg celebrated its 850 th
anniversary.
Cistercian monks who settled throughout Europe
starting from Burgundy during the 12th century,
received their first vineyards in 1171 and over the
last 850 years they have had a lasting influence on
viticulture in Austria. Since 1996 the winery has been
run by the family Eva and Michael Moosbrugger.
The primary goal is to preserve the viticultural
heritage of Schloss Gobelsburg – with vineyards
which are historically amongst the oldest in the
region – to further develop them and pass them on
to the next generation.
In December 1996 the estate was admitted to the
renowned Association of Traditional Austrian Wine
Estates and in 2019 the US Wine and Spirits magazine
entered it in the list of the Top 100 Wineries of the
World.

As a family business in the third generation,

Clear the stage for our apprentices
Aleksa, Peter & David
Aleksa is in his third apprenticeship year as
a cook and is already personally responsible
for a lot.
Peter joined us originally as a trainee but
quickly realised that he wanted to stay and is
now in his second year as a cook.
David is in his second year of apprenticeship
as a hotel and hospitality assistant and has
so far gained experience in the kitchen and
service. Now he is looking forward to his
training at our reception.
We are very pleased that we have again
motivated apprentices in our team and
are already looking forward to where their
paths will lead them in the future.
