JEANNETTE ETHEREDGE: Oh, find that photo! Who was the photographer then? Was it<br />

Pamela? Because they wanted to take a group photo, and he said, “Great, let’s do it in the<br />

doorway.” So everybody was standing in the doorway, and he decided to lie down. He lay down<br />

in the entryway of Tosca.<br />

MIGUEL PENDÁS: Like a corpse in one of his horror movies?<br />

JEANNETTE ETHEREDGE: Yeah, <strong>with</strong> one hand on his head.<br />

JEANNETTE SHAHEEN: I remember him being here, but I hadn’t started yet. Okay, I think<br />

I’ve completely screwed this up.<br />

JEANNETTE ETHEREDGE: He was married to that woman Coral Browne, and she was here.<br />

We had that movie, <strong>with</strong> Coral Browne, An Englishman Abroad, and she was in that. We had<br />

that film. That was <strong>with</strong> Alan Bates.<br />

JEANNETTE SHAHEEN: You know what, I think I had maybe just started. I remember now.<br />

He was lovely.<br />

JEANNETTE ETHEREDGE: Oh, he was darling. He was nothing like—<br />

JEANNETTE SHAHEEN: Coral. I had started. I’m so sorry, but it’s harder when you get older<br />

to remember. That’s what happened. I must have started. I remember the Opening Night film,<br />

Camilla.<br />

MIGUEL PENDÁS: In 1985.<br />

JEANNETTE SHAHEEN: In ’85, but I wasn’t so entrenched in the films.<br />

JEANNETTE ETHEREDGE: See, that’s just like not remembering when I was on the board,<br />

because it felt like I was already on the board.<br />
