Diseñar un centro cívico para el reacomodo de oficinas
publicas de el municipio de San Pedro, Dentro de las
especificaciones, el uso de acero era indispensable para
materialidad en el diseño. A si mismo, un desarrollar una
propuesta urbana para el entorno de este nuevo centro
con espacios publicos.
P R O J E C T
Design a civic center for the rearrangement of public
offices in the municipality of San Pedro. Within the
specifications, the use of steel was essential for
materiality in the design. In addition, to develop an
urban proposal for the surroundings of this new center
with public spaces.
C O N C E P T O
Hubo tres conceptos principales para el diseño, El
primero fue que los volúmenes de los edificios tuvieran
huecos dentro de ellos, para que hubiese un juego de
masa vs. espacio. El segundo concepto fue que estos
volúmenes estuviesen completamente sostenidos por
columnas de acero en el primer nivel para dar una
sensación de espacio a el usuario que transcurre por el
pirmer nivel. Y el tercer concepto fue la idea de una
doble fachada de laminas de acero corten con un diseño
de celosía traslúcida para efectos de temperatura y
sombra dentro de los espacios de el volumen.
C O N C E P T
There were three main concepts for the design. The first
was that the volumes of the buildings had holes inside
them, so that there would be a game of mass vs. space.
The second concept was that these volumes were
completely supported by steel columns on the first level
to give a feeling of space to the user passing through the
first level. And the third concept was the idea of ​a double
facade of corten steel sheets with a translucent lattice
design for effects of temperature and shade within the
spaces of the volume.

Diseñar un complejo comercial de pequeño nivel, un
hotel boutique dentro de las especificaciones dadas con
el predio seleccionado dentro de la ciudad de Monterrey.
P R O J E C T
Design a small-level commercial complex, a boutique
hotel within the specifications given with the selected
property within the city of Monterrey.
C O N C E P T O
El concepto y la inspiración para el hotel fue realmente
simple, siempre estoy muy inspirado por el arquitecto
mexicano Luis Barragán. A partir de sus diseños,
desarrollo una forma muy simple y una combinación de
colores muy simple, blanco y rosa mexicano. Los
interiores de cada habitación están diseñados para
combinar la serenidad con los neutros y algunos colores
de acento inspirados en la región.
C O N C E P T
The concept and inspiration for the hotel was actually
simple, I am always very inspired by the Mexican
architect Luis Barragan. From his designs, I develop a
very simple form and a very simple combination of
colors, white and mexican pink. The interiors of every
room are design in a way to combine serenity with
neutrals and some accent colors inspired by the region.

El nombre "CATARINA" proviene por la forma de el pabe
llón, más la celosia utilizada en las piezas de los arcos, y
aparte por los tonos de colores utilizados por inspiración
del bicho.
P R O J E C T
The name "CATARINA" comes from the shape of the
pavilion, plus the lattice used in the pieces of the arches,
and apart from the color tones used by inspiration of the
ladybug.
