MEMO....firstly, let's
quickly state the
obvious. Your art is
amazing! At what
age did you
discover you had a
talent?
Did you have any
artists you admired
growing up? Or
artists you currently
love?
Issue 30 | 234
When I was around 6, I started
drawing TMNT from comics. I was
obsessed with them as much as my
classmates were. I guess I started
noticing that people liked my
drawings when not only the kids
but also the teachers started asking
me to draw stuff for them.
In Mexico, most cartoonist were
political, except a few and even if
their cartoons were for "grown ups"'
I started liking a lot the style of Jis &
Trino (above). But I also liked the
style of the Gummy Bears, Samurai
Pizza Cats and Marvel Comics.
You are well loved in the
Killabear community, Take
us through your initial
thoughts and reaction
when Kickrrr first
discovered your art and
DM'd you on instagram? Did
you have any reservations
about turning your art into
NFTs?
Technically, you are The
Love Captain's father. Did
you have any idea what you
would be creating when
you slapped together a
Captains Hat, Heart Eyes
and a Pink Robe?
At that point I got several requests to
do NFTs, but everyone had their own
ideas. Kickrrr liked what he saw on my
Instagram and knew that the bears
would be a successful collection. The
only thing I was concerned with was
having the time to work on it, but I'm
glad I found it
Everyone loves a little alpha and Killacubs are
looking amazing. Is there any piece of work you
can send me to drop in this interview.
(I promise I won't tell Ben).

For any artists out there
thinking about joining the
NFT space, do you have
any advice?
Issue 30 | 234
The advice I would give artists
is to prepare to work more than
you have ever worked in your
life. You can make a lot of
money fast drawing NFTs if you
don't care about the holders or
your reputation, but if you do
and want to create a lasting
brand and real value, you need
to put your soul into it.
