Comfort, Nowhere<br />
The misery drenched me<br />
down deep,<br />
down deep,<br />
where I froze in the quiet<br />
of my self-pity,<br />
weeping on the shoulder<br />
of a pillow's 'comfort',<br />
when my friend lay beside<br />
the door I have shut,<br />
with a picture we took in happy times.<br />
Holding their hand is a return of our rhyme.<br />
