Thismeeting was also attended by nearly 30residents, mainly from Keyhaven, to hearabout any proposals Mr. Adams-Kingrecommended regarding the parkingissues experienced along Salt Grass Laneand New Lane.Mr. Adams-King reported that manycoastal locations are being affected byparking issues in areas of natural beauty.He suggested that any changes to theparking regulations would require aTraffic Regulations Order (TRO), thiswould require a period of consultationprior to a proposal being suggested, thena subsequent consultation on anyproposal and it was unlikely that it couldbe undertaken this year. However, hewould be discussing the way forwardwith HCC officers so that somethingcould be achieved for next spring/summer. He also reported that localauthorities were considering additionalcampervan parking bays in existing carparks, thus offering more suitablefacilities.Mr. Adams-King alsoreported thatthere had beensome jetting ofthe drains nearto the schoolbut this hadnot improved the flooding which occursnear to the bus stop and outside theschool. Further investigation is due totake place with work planned for aSunday in September.Mr. Adams-King reported that there wasa consultation on imposing 20mph limitsin the county and this had received over6000 responses. However, it was notuniversally supported and only someareas of high density and particularperceived danger would be considered.Further information on the consultationshould be ready by the spring of 2023.Additional details on this discussion canbe found on the Parish Council’s websiteunder meeting minutes.Please mention The Village Voice when responding to adverts31
